Sultai is the most powerful color combination in EDH, by far. Anything with green has a huge advantage over every non-green deck, and black is the second best color, and blue the third, so.... yeah, they tend to be awesome.

At 6:50, there is a slight activation error - Michael has to discard the card as a cost, not an effect. The way he handled bouncing Tatyova allows the perception that he changed his discard choice after the activation resolved. This is not the case - all words to the left of the ":" must occur to pit the ability on the stack.

Adam used his Regrowth to get Wayward Swordtooth? I definitely would have grabbed Lotus Cobra or Ramunap Excavator?

Cobra is good if you can put multiple lands onto the battlefield at once, Swordtooth gives access to a second Tatyova trigger each turn. It's hard to see, but I think Adam's hand is quite empty at that time, hence he's picking Swordtooth to refill it (Tatyova isn't on the battlefield then, but he tries to cast her the following turn).

I recently bought your Trostani list because of how fun and explosvie it has looked on earlier videos, sadly you got stuck on mana. From playtesting i found abit more 2-3 mana ramp spells made a huge diffrence together with the mana doublers + seedborn muse, while taking out some of the giant 6-8drops

Hey there. May I suggest for you to add the name of the player when presenting their starting hands? At least for me, it would help me pay more attention to the first rounds of the game. Very often, when you mention someones name in the early rounds I have to maybe pause the video to understand would played each card. I believe that adding the name of the player on the beginning helps the viewers creating a "link" between each player and their commander.

I don't quite get why Andrew gave up in the end. Unless Michael had some additional reach, he only has 23 damage on the board, so you live another turn. When Andrew casts the Regal Behemoth, he can stack the Monarch and Bramble triggers so he can tap for 3x on his lands when paying for the Bramble to copy the Regal Behemoth, still floating 1 green. Lands now tap for 4x per land with 4 lands untapped (1 forest, 1 W/G, 1 colorless, 1 white source). Tap white mana for floating 1 Green, 4 White - populate with Vitu Guildmage on the Behemoth, leaving 1 white floating. Lands now tap for 5x. Tap forest, colorless and white, 5 green, 5 colorless, 6 white floating - Cast Trostani, leaving 3 green, 5 colorless, 4 white floating. Populate the Behemoth two more times to net 10 live. You're left with a board of 5 Regal Behemoths, Trostani, Bramble, Guildmage - total 33 power and 40 life. Michael is at 10... Annihilator 2 is laughable with a Sakura-tribe Elder and a land to throw away. How is that game lost to attempt? You have sufficient attempts on the board. I know I made a semi-complicated min-maxing but even just copying the Behemoth with the Bramble, play Trostani and populate with the remaining mana should be enough to try at least.

He also had Panharmonicon, so he'd get double Bramble Sovereign triggers and double Trostani life gain. Of course, he'd still die to 2 hits from the flying hexproof Mimeoplasm, but he could probably have won on his next turn first.

@@NMS127 I am a fool, I forgot the Panharmonicon, so it would be even more ridiculous. Michael had only 10 life and couldn't kill Andrew on the board, so I would have played the game out and attempt to win on the next turn if I were Andrew.

Roil Elemental takes control away from the owner until it leaves the battlefield, which essentially happens when Adam dies. Without an effect that takes that control away from the original caster/"owner", the overtaken creatures return to the last place they were controlled indefinitely (most likely by the caster of the creature or the reanimator of it). For instance if Michael reanimated one of Andrew's creatures from the graveyard, and Adam took control with Roil Elemental, but then dies, the creature returns to Michael, as it's the last place it was controlled without a control-altering effect.

Since the return trigger also gets removed from the stack

There are no "return control" triggers. Even if the controlling effects had been permanent, they would've ceased the moment Adam lost, returning the creatures to their previous controllers. In order for an object to be exiled, it has to be cast or put into the battlefield by that player. If Adam had used Bribery to grab a creature from an opponent's library, for example, then that creature would've been exiled.

In this case, it's specifically cards owned by the player. If Adam had somehow cast his opponent's creatures, they would have been exiled when he left the game. However, Roil Elemental only gains control of target creature(s) until it leaves the battlefield. So when Adam was brutally murdered Roil left the field, returning all the things it stole back to their original owners instead of exiling them. Oof I know the feel of having only 1 white most of the game with trostani also wonder if you could update us on your trostani deck and the changes you have made I been working on mine alot and (though I have alot of diffrent cards in there) it runs in the same aspects that yours does but its lacking a few cards to make it ideal P.S. have you tried darien king of kjeldor in your deck with him and trostani people either have to kill one of them or 1 shot you but you do you figured I would try to suggest some spice :) Love your videos keep up on the good work good sir!!

Dude in my lord windgrace deck it does work especially if i float mana sacificing my lands to a squandered resources or zuran orb then getting them back with Splendid reclamation it gets dumb especially if you have both squandered resources and a Amulet of vigor

I like watching your videos, but as someone who doesn't know a lot a cards, I have to keep pausing the video to understand what is going on. So a suggestion would be to increase the zoom time for recent played cards so people can actually read the whole card. Sometimes cards can have a lot o text, so this give us some time to read. Hi Renan, Thanks for the suggestion! I've actually increased the length the card stays on screen a few times at this point. My main concern now is that if I leave it up any longer, it obstructs the view of the table. I'll see if I can tweak it more though.

Playing a card that let's all your opponents sac an artifact or enchantment, is not really a 3 for 1. Each player loses 1 card, including the caster of the spell, it's basicly 1for 1 but then for the entire table at the same time.

Adam dissapointed me BIG TIME! Tatyova is my main deck and I couldn't stay all the missplay and lack of interaction from him. Especially, counterspell package, which could have been better and cheaper. Adam had the game all the time, but still managed to give it away But I like your channel anyway, keep it up))

When the rest of the table gangs up on you and makes it an archenemy game because you built a good deck doesn't mean he isn't a powerful player. Adam did mess up by not blocking the first time but there's only so much one can do against 3 opponents. This is why combo decks suffer against creature beats. Adam had the win but it was ripped from him by the other 3 players who just wanted the game to go on longer. That doesn't really sound like fun.

It's just infuriating watching someone construct a good deck, pilot it pretty well, and then draw the ire of the table because their deck is doing what it needs to do to win. After a certain point, they decided that simply removing his cards wasn't enough and they needed to remove the player through the only known method this channel implores, creature beats.

I'm going to assume that this is referring to the point where someone is taken out after stealing a bunch of things? This seems to come up a lot. There's a major different between what is "owned" and what is "controlled". The Roil Elemental stealing things would qualify under this clause: *any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end* - which means that with Adam being knocked out, so too are the effects.
