Do you guys know/remember a guy named ROY PERMENTER??

Hi William! Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, no sir... I never met Roy Permenter. Did he fish out of Bills Landing a lot?

@@ReelTexasOutdoors YES, literally 7 Days a week. I was basically his job. We brought all our live catfish from for our catfish market in Center, TX. 1000 + pounds a week. People would come in our store pick what they wanted (live) and my brother and I killed, skint, gutted a fillet them.

When y’all stretch the line between the float lines are y’all pulling it tight so it looks like a trapezoid or they vertical and the line just hanging between them?
@ReelTexasOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell. Thanks for the comment. We stretch the mainline as tight as possible, so it's more like an arc than anything. We simply tie jugs on each end (with lines down to the mainline) to allow us to pull them up. I hope that helps some... please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks man!
@Bayou_Russ3 жыл бұрын
@@ReelTexasOutdoors yes sir it did, when y’all said it’s four foot under the floats it didn’t make sense to have the floats at the vertical.

Hi Tucker, no sir... I havent been too far south from Bill's. We were showed this place about 10 years ago and that's been my go-to spot for catfish ever since. Thanks for the question man. Have a good one!

I believe so... I've seen folks doing it out there before. You may check with the Lousiana parks and wildlife to see if it's legal on their side... but I've seen folks do it on the Texas side for sure. Good luck, hope this helps,!

Is Bills Landing still owned by a guy named Charlie from Ohio? I went there for about 6 years straight. Very nice place and owners were awesome. We busted a prop on our boat. The owner gave us a prop to use no charge.

Hi Michael... Man, I am so sorry. I thought I replied to this a while back. My apologies. Yes sir, Charlie and Rhonda still own Bill's Landing. They are super nice folks for sure, and I've never had anything but great experiences out there. Thanks for the comment man.

@@ReelTexasOutdoors Awesome... If you get there again... Please tell them the guys from Indiana said Hi... The guys that threw their partner out of the boat on the turn going to shelby beach area. I see the channel has been widened. Use to be really tight when two boats passed going in/out. plus it was shallow. I really enjoyed fishing there for sure. its a 18 hour drive for us. thanks for your reply. Good luck catching those monster cats.

@@GetTheNet1963 - I will definitely tell them! We plan to be going there relatively soon to set more lines for a family fish fry. Right now the water is super high there (according to Rhonda's facebook) due to recent storms. Hoping to get there soon though. Thanks again for the comment man. Have a great one.
