Expedition Overland

Күн бұрын

Even in the most breathtaking landscapes, vigilance is key on any overlanding trip. In this episode, the XOVERLAND team finds themselves in the rugged and awe-inspiring terrain of Lesotho, Africa, navigating both the challenges of the journey and the unexpected twists of the road.
After a grueling night for one team member, the rest of us face tough questions: Do we press forward? Is this the safest course? Time is not on our side, and the need for a plan grows urgent as the situation unfolds.
In moments like these, clarity is priceless-and it’s crystal clear that donkeys have officially earned their spot as our new favorite mode of short-distance transportation. Practical, dependable, and undeniably charming.

I love this episode because trips are not always about nature while overlanding. It's also about experiencing the culture that your in. How fun to ride donkies to a bar in South Africa. Something that will always be one of the best stories

This has been one of my favorite series, as a guy trying to find his foothold in the world along with his purpose, a lot of what was said in this series has helped me a lot. The production quality of X Overland has just rocketed to the outer atmosphere. I have been following along for about 4 years now I think and it has always been amazing. The best footage, the best vibes, eye opening philosophy, truly inspiring crew. X overland to me is not just a bunch of offroaders like 24/7 offroad, although great guys and have great content, X overland just has a way of hitting close to home and making me feel like i'm missing a crazy wide amazing world and and am working to do what I must to get to be able to do half of what you guys accomplish. As a long time viewer and massive fan, I am stoked to see where everyone is, what has been accomplished, and what the future may hold for X Overland. I am proud, thank you for your beautiful productions and never asking for a single thing in return like most other channels out there. Truly, thank you.

Semongkong is just shear magic! ❤️ Stayed there in 2022 and did the horse & donkey rides. Loved the Duck & Donkey pub! Good call with Doc. I will never forget being in north of Botswana and we had to put our 8yr old daughter on a drip in a clinic. Before the days of cellphones, starlink or Google. Would definitely have made the call to head back to SA hospital if we could. She all fine now and studying to be Doctor.

It’s a good thing that with such a small country we are getting two episodes, I was really feeling disappointed that the doctor got sick and thought Lesotho episode is over but in my head I was like Go to Bloem they got good doctors there. I have been watching your content all this years, and I didn’t know someday you will come to Lesotho. Got surprised some day when I was passing through the border and I saw your sticker on the window. That’s when I knew that you were in the country. Thank you so much for visiting us Lesotho is such a beautiful country.

Thanks for sharing all of this process including the wrench thrown in your plans for that epic camping spot with that health scare. I think it's important for people to see that side of it. Life in general doesn't always go as planned, no matter your platform/audience - especially these days. Anyhow another great show!

This is probably one of the best episodes! It has, in my opinion, every aspect of what overlanding is. Thankfully the Doc was okay. But having to handle the emergency as a team really highlights what overlanding is. More than just fancy equipment and driving to a place (which seems to be what the stereotype is). It's about enjoy friends in the outdoors, seeing things you wouldnt typically see and working together for a common cause.

Wonderful episode! If you ever go back to Sweden sometime, try the northwestern Route, from the wilderness road to kvikkjokk, ritsem, Abisko etc. Its a place like no other. Only place in Europe that can compare to the mountainous regions of alaska. There are Deltas, Tundras, mountains, rivers and lakes. If its a 2nd full Scandinavian overlanding trip then the border to Norway is in Abisko which will be at the end of that route. I did it myself this summer and I HIGHLY recommend it.

I was praying while watching it's not malaria. I had it 5 times in my life, it ends quickly but it changes the taste of the food for weeks after recovery. It's medicine is even scarier than the illness 😔 what a depressing thing. Get well soon Bro.. I am Muslim but in this case I would give him a mix of Jin and tonic water. Or any hard liquor with tonic. It helps take away the bitterness of malaria from the mouth.
