It's no joke, he's still being charged and he will have that whole thing with the judge, a hearing, sentencing or penalty phase. Sounds like he is being expelled from the school which usually means it places more stress on the parents to find him a school that will take him. He'll also have a record. This won't "ruin" his life but if he makes more stupid decisions after he turns 18 he can ruin and limit his chances.
@lyphe967520 күн бұрын
@@Thunderbyrd.so catch an release? Seems like he’s old enough to be held accountable and that means going to jail. Your way of thinking just proves why people are not held accountable. This guy is a complete joke and can lecture all he wants but it will have a better impact if he was lecturing him while heading to jail and showing him that he has to be a man and face his consequences. Get out of here with your bullshit soft on crime especially DV shit. The abusers sigh when he thinks he’s going to jail was heavy but when he learned he wasn’t going to jail he looked relieved and like he knows he can do it again and get away with it because that’s what they did last time. Usually it depends on what type of school you go to. It’s not always policy changes. I went to a school that was labeled the “rich, white, druggie kid” school and stuff like drugs and assaults usually ended with slaps on the wrist. One day I saw a guy slap his girlfriend push her into the lockers and then scream in her face kind of like this video. This happened right in front of the principal and all that happened was the principal separated them and he got a few days of detention and remained at the school as if it were a minor incident like skipping school. This was about 13 years ago. I knew of students at other schools (that didn’t have students with loaded parents) who did similar things and were sent to juvie and/or alternative school.

The other option is to get a GED. Either way he's never going back to that school. Further ruining a teens life with a permanent criminal record for domestic violence is excessive.
