She had so few connections that no one even noticed she was gone. I knew someone who died alone in her apartment of pneumonia and she was found after only three days. To be dead and decomposing for a month and only found by your landlady...it hurts my heart to hear of such a tragic story. Kind of symbolic of modern-day isolation.

I saw the original video but knew very little about her. I just thought it was may be a one time thing and that she didn’t reallly think she was hurting anyone. The police treated her terribly, making jokes etc which I thought was out of line. Now realizing she needed help a long time prior to this beach incident. There was still a chance for help and I wish she’d gotten it.

It isn't sad or tragic unless you want it to be. It's nothing new since the dawn of the human species. It is just how it is. It's up to you how you process it. Every human dies alone. Every human lives alone too, meaing we can never really truly know one another. I'm not trying to be negative. Just real. Death is as real as it gets. No more arguing, negotiating or excuses. Also alone is NOT lonely. That's up to each mind to decide for itself up until your consciousness fades and each of us are gone, but the body's autonomic nervous system is still ticking. Who exactly, do you think you will be facing death with? It's just our self, and our certain death. It's simple. Humans are mortals. No batteries required. No other human required. I've seen it in the sick, my parents who died long ago, and witnessing those who died in the field during my tenure in law enforcement and search and rescue volunteer. And I will experience it soon too, because I have a certain post viral syndrome no one wants to talk about anymore, that rhymes with schmlong schmovid. The person just isn't there in the final moments, however long or short those final moments are. It isn't tragic unless you make it so. It's just the end of life. BTW hospice people are the best. Amazing. Use them. ;)

Honestly, her fate terrifies me. I am a very introverted person, both because of my personality and because I was so badly bullied and abused as a child that I isolated to protect myself. As a result, I am socially stunted and it's very hard for me to interact with others because I'm always on guard. Nobody invites me out for parties or asks if I want to get coffee. Nobody asks if I'm doing okay. There's some days when nobody says "hello" to me. When I do interact, I'm the one who initiates contact, who asks people how they are and how their lives are going. Nobody ever asks me those things. I'm terrified that I'm going to die suddenly and nobody is going to notice or even care.

It is unsettling, to say the least. I often handle bad situations and stress with humor and sarcasm, but even I can't joke about a young woman shuffling herself off of this mortal coil. It's sad; there's nothing remotely humorous about it. This coming from the guy that cracked jokes when the doctors diagnosed him with a malignant brain tumor! When I sat down with the radiation oncologists to talk about treating the tumor with Gamma radiation, I actually asked if they could really turn it up to give me super powers, like the Hulk! (The doctors' names were, I sh*t you not, Dr. Parker and Dr. Banner - Marvel fans should appreciate that). But, again, there's nothing funny about the end of Christna's story!

@@kcbh24, to hopefully give a second thought to anyone considering doing the same. It is not a guaranteed instant and painless way to go. Sometimes fear and adrenaline cause people to flinch at the last possible millisecond. Sometimes bullets go rogue and do unexpected things once they start bouncing off of hard tissue and bone. Maybe the bullet exits an eardrum. There was a documentary film titled "The Bridge" that was about jumpers off the Golden Gate Bridge. The filmmakers set up static cameras around the GG Bridge for like a period of one month or so- I can't remember exactly. They recorded actual jumpers, around 12 or so, in that period of time. All but one of them flailed their arms violently as though trying to reverse their decision and fly to safety after realizing the reality of what they had committed to. One amazing young man, who miraculously survived his jump off the bridge, said that he took a running jump at the railing, planted his hand on the railing to get him up and over it, and the instant he was over the other side and his hand left the railing, he said "I knew immediately that I didn't actually want to do it, but it was too late.".

You probably didn't understand because this type of advice just sucks standing by itself. Parents seriously have to stop demonizing drugs and start to explain to their children how exactly they can harm you. This panic strategy only works if they manage to generate an unhealthy irrational fear of drugs so they don't even use them. Fear imo generally is a bad motivator because of how quickly it can affect different aspects in your life. I remember me realizing at about 15 years old that the demonization of drugs is massively overblown and I essentially had to come to my own conclusions. Surprise, surprise, I as a 15 year old couldn't fully comprehend the risks even after reading them on the Internet. But that's unfortunately the world we live in, Police officers come to our schools to "teach" about drugs but can't even win a debate about drugs against stoned 15 year olds. How are these people supposed to help when they don't even know what they are teaching?

Decent? She jacked off in front of families with kids, even brought a adult toy to rub herself with in full view of kids. She stole a car, stole property, didn't pay her rent, destroyed other peoples property, served time in prison, repeated arrests, and her family described her as wild and out of control and wanted nothing to do with her. Where's the "decent person"? Or is it because she's a attractive woman, and therefore your bias is kicking in? I’m not convinced that the incident wasn’t weighing heavy on her mind still. Eight months is a long time, but an episode like that can impact you for years or even a lifetime. The embarrassment and shame is profound. The incident may not have been the main reason behind the decision to end her life, but I believe it greatly influenced it. The fallout of that moment shattered her sense of self and place in this world. Even if the internet moved on from her story, she was the one who went to sleep at night ruminating on all the ways she fucked up and how she can’t undo any of it.

I’m surprised people are so certain her self-service episode was the reason she brought an end to her life all those months later. She deliberately sought out a family with kids, on an otherwise completely empty beach, to plonk herself down next to and "go to town" on herself with a sex toy. Her intention was to shock, embarrass and traumatise a young family, which she achieved. Would someone like that _REALLY_ give the incident a second thought? I think not.
@howardrobinson4938
@howardrobinson4938 5 ай бұрын
She had to give it a second thought. She was facing several charges that required her to have to go to court. If she were to be found guilty of the indecent exposure charge that could potentially get her a sex offender designation. With all of her ongoing life problems, having to grapple with that possibility was probably too much. The stress of contemplating that for months on top of everything else is likely why she killed herself.

Obviously this woman made a mistake but I don't agree with all that came her way. Sometimes the time doesn't fit the crime and the worst thing in this case is the fact that it was shown all over the internet. So not only do you have to pay as far as the law goes but you have to pay as far as public opinion goes. And much much more. In many ways ruining your life due to it being on the internet forever. In the old days you served your time and it was finished with. You moved on the best you could. Not every person that gets arrested has to deal with this. Only the cases that will please the public, as disgusting as it is. I have been arrested for worse things and never shown up on here. That only proves my point. We like to sensationalize things and put people that make mistakes in the public eye, dead center. Even good people make mistakes. It doesn't mean they deserve to have their life destroyed for it. I have gotten into fights and was charged with assault ffs. A much worse crime and I am not plastered all over the internet. I think the fact that she is attractive and it is of a sexual nature just may be a reason she happens to be paraded all over the place. So you missed the point entirely. Accountability, yes. Ruining someone's life via the internet versus the old days of just simply paying for your crime so u are squared and then doing the best you can to rectify it, those days are long gone. Now you make a mistake and the internet absolutely destroys you for it, making work etc almost impossible. Which is a good reason to return to crime. People have to feed themselves. Making it impossible to do this only makes things worse. The fact that the cops can release these videos without repercussion is astounding. Comical for everyone, yes. But releasing them to the public is an absolute joke. Like everyone needs to see this. Accountability has been achieved by serving jail time and paying fines. Taking it to the next level, deplorable. I dated such a woman many years ago. One night she called me to say goodbye and that she was walking into the night surf and not returning. I had no idea where she was. It turned out to be attention seeking . I called the police regardless and managed to convince her to go to hospital involving her brother too who I did not know. Even to continue this story ( which I won't) disturbs me today. Point being....when a woman behaves like your case study one can only hope that smart police get involved . An amoeba in uniform should be able to pick up that her behavior required psychiatric evaluation. Such a sad sad sad situation. 😢😢😢

I don't think it's terribly surprising that she was alive for a bit after the gunshot wound. The entry wound was on her chin and the exit wound in the forehead. That means the bullet probably destroyed her face but didn't actually go through the middle of the brain. Some people survive self inflicted gunshot wounds because they damage their face severely but leave their brain mostly intact.

I'm gonna take exception here. If a man were to 'self service' in public, seemingly in deliberate full view of a family no less, people would be saying lock him up and throw away the key. Grossly indecent behaviour should not get a pass just because the perpetrator happens to be female.

I understand that Women and Men are different in many ways but I, personally, do not see any difference when it comes to ‘Sexual Deviance’. No mater the Perpetrator the “Release” or “Excitement” they seek is the same. Its only in the last maybe 30yrs have people, in part due to access of Information via the Internet, have people come to realize that in the case of Homicide has it been proven that a Woman can be just as Dangerous and Deadly as a Man. One incident happened where a couple decided to perform their “activities“ upon the large rocks that were placed there for erosion control purposes. Imagine two people doing the horizontal bop on top of boulders that are 8 feet above ground level and in full view of hundreds of yards of beach area.
