She had so few connections that no one even noticed she was gone. I knew someone who died alone in her apartment of pneumonia and she was found after only three days. There was still a chance for help and I wish she’d gotten it.

It isn't sad or tragic unless you want it to be. It's nothing new since the dawn of the human species. It is just how it is. It's up to you how you process it. Every human dies alone. Every human lives alone too, meaing we can never really truly know one another. I'm not trying to be negative. Just real. Death is as real as it gets. No more arguing, negotiating or excuses. Also alone is NOT lonely. That's up to each mind to decide for itself up until your consciousness fades and each of us are gone, but the body's autonomic nervous system is still ticking. Who exactly, do you think you will be facing death with? It's just our self, and our certain death. It's simple. Humans are mortals. No batteries required. No other human required. I've seen it in the sick, my parents who died long ago, and witnessing those who died in the field during my tenure in law enforcement and search and rescue volunteer. And I will experience it soon too, because I have a certain post viral syndrome no one wants to talk about anymore, that rhymes with schmlong schmovid. The person just isn't there in the final moments, however long or short those final moments are. It isn't tragic unless you make it so. It's just the end of life. BTW hospice people are the best. Amazing. Use them. ;)

Honestly, her fate terrifies me. I am a very introverted person, both because of my personality and because I was so badly bullied and abused as a child that I isolated to protect myself. As a result, I am socially stunted and it's very hard for me to interact with others because I'm always on guard. Nobody invites me out for parties or asks if I want to get coffee. Nobody asks if I'm doing okay. There's some days when nobody says "hello" to me. When I do interact, I'm the one who initiates contact, who asks people how they are and how their lives are going. Nobody ever asks me those things. I'm terrified that I'm going to die suddenly and nobody is going to notice or even care.

When I sat down with the radiation oncologists to talk about treating the tumor with Gamma radiation, I actually asked if they could really turn it up to give me super powers, like the Hulk! Sometimes fear and adrenaline cause people to flinch at the last possible millisecond. Sometimes bullets go rogue and do unexpected things once they start bouncing off of hard tissue and bone. Maybe the bullet exits an eardrum. There was a documentary film titled "The Bridge" that was about jumpers off the Golden Gate Bridge. The filmmakers set up static cameras around the GG Bridge for like a period of one month or so- I can't remember exactly. They recorded actual jumpers, around 12 or so, in that period of time. All but one of them flailed their arms violently as though trying to reverse their decision and fly to safety after realizing the reality of what they had committed to. One amazing young man, who miraculously survived his jump off the bridge, said that he took a running jump at the railing, planted his hand on the railing to get him up and over it, and the instant he was over the other side and his hand left the railing, he said "I knew immediately that I didn't actually want to do it, but it was too late.".

This panic strategy only works if they manage to generate an unhealthy irrational fear of drugs so they don't even use them. Fear imo generally is a bad motivator because of how quickly it can affect different aspects in your life. I remember me realizing at about 15 years old that the demonization of drugs is massively overblown and I essentially had to come to my own conclusions. Surprise, surprise, I as a 15 year old couldn't fully comprehend the risks even after reading them on the Internet. There is a very good documentary film called "Dreams of a Life" about a woman called Joyce Vincent who lay dead in her north London home for over two years before her body was found. Joyce had been successful and was gregarious by nature, but she estranged herself from her friends and family who went looking for her, but only had her previous address. I’m surprised people are so certain her self-service episode was the reason she brought an end to her life all those months later. She deliberately sought out a family with kids, on an otherwise completely empty beach, to plonk herself down next to and "go to town" on herself with a sex toy. Her intention was to shock, embarrass and traumatise a young family, which she achieved. Would someone like that _REALLY_ give the incident a second thought? I think not.
@howardrobinson49385 ай бұрын
She had to give it a second thought. She was facing several charges that required her to have to go to court. If she were to be found guilty of the indecent exposure charge that could potentially get her a sex offender designation. With all of her ongoing life problems, having to grapple with that possibility was probably too much. The stress of contemplating that for months on top of everything else is likely why she killed herself.

Obviously this woman made a mistake but I don't agree with all that came her way. Sometimes the time doesn't fit the crime and the worst thing in this case is the fact that it was shown all over the internet. So not only do you have to pay as far as the law goes but you have to pay as far as public opinion goes. And much much more. In many ways ruining your life due to it being on the internet forever. In the old days you served your time and it was finished with. You moved on the best you could. Not every person that gets arrested has to deal with this. Only the cases that will please the public, as disgusting as it is. I have been arrested for worse things and never shown up on here. That only proves my point. We like to sensationalize things and put people that make mistakes in the public eye, dead center. Even good people make mistakes. It doesn't mean they deserve to have their life destroyed for it. I have gotten into fights and was charged with assault ffs. A much worse crime and I am not plastered all over the internet. I think the fact that she is attractive and it is of a sexual nature just may be a reason she happens to be paraded all over the place. So you missed the point entirely. Accountability, yes. Ruining someone's life via the internet versus the old days of just simply paying for your crime so u are squared and then doing the best you can to rectify it, those days are long gone. Now you make a mistake and the internet absolutely destroys you for it, making work etc almost impossible. Which is a good reason to return to crime. People have to feed themselves. Making it impossible to do this only makes things worse. The fact that the cops can release these videos without repercussion is astounding. Comical for everyone, yes. But releasing them to the public is an absolute joke. Like everyone needs to see this. Accountability has been achieved by serving jail time and paying fines. Taking it to the next level, deplorable. Let's face it, a man would be treated like a filthy, disgusting pervert ... and rightfully so. This woman SHOULD have been treated the same. Male or female, you cannot sit down on a beach and masturbate in broad daylight in front of children. She had difficult problems, I get it - but let the judge take that into consideration for sentencing.

@@JamieLedweather A man doing what? It was wrong, and in public, but she was not openly trying to show people. She got caught. A man getting caught doing the same thing is not any more disturbing, its just a wrong thing to do. They all know it, they risk it. It still has NOTHING of value to say what you say when discussing if she had mental issues. Its not just the doing what she did, but the act of taking her own life shows she is actually a person who was in distress, whether in the exact moment or not. A man in distress is not any less of a thing, whether doing something wrong or not, as you seem to be implying.

Dr. Grande - If this were a Man and not a Woman, would you still come to the same conclusion? I understand that Women and Men are different in many ways but I, personally, do not see any difference when it comes to ‘Sexual Deviance’. No mater the Perpetrator the “Release” or “Excitement” they seek is the same. Its only in the last maybe 30yrs have people, in part due to access of Information via the Internet, have people come to realize that in the case of Homicide has it been proven that a Woman can be just as Dangerous and Deadly as a Man. Just as many Men did were not born with the Protection Gene, many Women werent born with the Nuture Gene.

@bovinebeautymoo2884 - Thank you for being unbiased. Yes, it's funny how the comments are showering her with empathy, even calling her a "Sweet woman" when we just learned that in addition to touching/playing with herself in front of kids, she also spent time in prison, was being sued for stealing property + destroying property + not paying rent + had numerous arrests for public drunkeness and abused drugs + was described by family as wild, and out of control.... "sweet lady". It's amazing what someone can get away with and still be viewed favorably and with empathy simply for having a certain sex organ and being mildly attractive.

I worked at a wastewater treatment plant that was on a beach area just outside of the city limits. The area was popular as a beach combing area and bird watching site. Myself and my coworkers had multiple incidents where people were self pleasuring themselves and also many cases of couples having sexual relations while parked in cars . One incident happened where a couple decided to perform their “activities“ upon the large rocks that were placed there for erosion control purposes. Imagine two people doing the horizontal bop on top of boulders that are 8 feet above ground level and in full view of hundreds of yards of beach area. And this is an area known as a favorite spot for photographers who are looking for migratory birds. Think of expensive telephoto camera lenses! Good times!

@@JonathanEcuador In American society, men are treated quite badly. However, as the USA declines into Second World economic status, American women can no longer depend on men to rescue them. Today, most American men simply don't even have enough money for their own support, let alone money to help anyone else.
