Troubleshooting a Failed Vizio E480i-B2 (Delta) Power Supply Board - 056.04146.001.

Hello to all Vizio TV Owners..
Today, I'm trying to repair a failed Power Supply board from a Vizio television - model E480i-B2.
The Vizio P.N. for the board is: Part: 056.04146.001
From the silkscreen on the board itself, you can see that it is manufactured by DELTA and is labeled as follows: DPS-176DP, 2950330505
Initial findings are the the 2 Amp - Schottky Diode - D950B - which is an SB2100 / SR2100 - short circuited. I removed this part, and am now awaiting a replacement to arrive before I can perform further troubleshooting / testing work.
NOTE: at approximately 5:05 I mentioned that the diode OPENED up.. that is not a correct statement - it is actually SHORTED. That statement is a mistake on my part.

As an update.. here are all the failed components I spotted.. IC901 - which is a 7 Pin DIP (pin #6 is not present) i found it to have failed - it is a LD7913JGM6 www.datasheets360.com/pdf/732173695424627367 == == == D902B - Also found it to have failed - it is a EGP10G by Vishay www.vishay.com/docs/88582/egp10a.pdf == == == ZD907 - NZ 24B - mine is shorted... a 24 VDC Zener by Vishay www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/420/UZ-24B.php www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/420/UZ-24B-pdf.php == == == ZD909 - I found it to have failed on my board.. is a: 4.7 Volt Zener Diode.. try Digikey BZX79C4V7-ND www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=BZX79C4V7-ND == == == I hope this helps..

You are correct.. in fact, I have not since worked on that board, simply because of other priorities... I did order all the parts that I found to have failed, but simply have not gotten back to it.. In all honesty, there were so many failed components on it, that I would not be surprised if there still are items that I have not identified as having failed .. Winter is coming, and I tend to spend more time in the workshop during that time.. hopefully I'll find some time to spend working on it again soon...

I am Trying to repair a power source of a VIZIO E480i B2 .The IC901 (LD7913JGM6) explode and the ZD909 is also badly damaged. Would you tell me the caracteristics of the zener ZD909 to change both components. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

hola el diodo zener es un 4v7d yo tengo el mismo problema pero nose que tenga el diodo zd 909 marca como si tubiera fuga pero es un diodo de bajo voltios es de 0.330 voltios

Hi... Actually.. I gave-up on it.. I just kept running across more and more failed components on the circuit board, that it became too much of a time sink for me... so I pulled the plug on the whole thing... I added comments to that effect somewhere in the comment string.

Thank you for this video, very nicely done. I am in the process of repairing this exact board (056.04146.001). However, I cannot find a schematic anywhere online. I need to replace the folowing components: ZD909, ZD907, D902B. I googled the part numbers on the 2 zener diodes, and the 1 normal diode, and found nothing. I really want to fix this board, but cant as I dont know the values of the components I am trying to replace. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey... I may well be able to assist with identifying those items... I'll try to sped time on it this evening.. I also looked for schematics, but found nothing... I have more findngs on my board, and had ordered (and received) part for it.. I plan on posting an update video for this one, but that was not going to be until the coming week-end...

Yeah the rectifier on my tv is bad or someone else the D902B part

Yeah so your saying don’t try and fix it just get a brand new power supply module

@@brandonniette4825 I'm not saying that.. that is for you to decide.. but remember that on eBay those boards are not that expensive.. so my suggestion is to get a new board, and fix the failed one as time permits.
