Thank you for sharing this video. I have the very same printer, and although I had to run the clean printhead several (several) times, it eventually cleaned itself. Now I am back to seeing all 4 colors on paper.

This is my second replacement with the black faint lines. The cartridge is full and after doing the cleaning process, I still get black fainted lines. Bestbuy doesn’t sell this for replacement. The printer quality report looks good but when I print stuff the black is still faded. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have a full black ink but low on the other colors, i selected the content to print in black only but some words are missing from the print. I did the cleaning multiple times

HELP! :--)) really appreciate the video. So, my Brother printer isn't printing black - well, it really is. So you showed the report with the 4 color boxes. When I print mine, the black box doesn't show up. HOWEVER, it prints the S/N U66273D2Hxxx just fine with the version and the date / time perfectly (in black). How can it do that if it won't print black anywhere else? HELP! thanks!!

It does not have problem with prints at all it has good quality. I used it today to print out maybe 50 pages worth of paperwork and it suddenly shut down and the screen does not want to turn on. The power light is on but entire thing shut down with its functions. I am kind of confused as I just bought it yesterday too ugh

Very helpful but I print out the quality sheet and pink, blue and yellow are perfect no faded spot but for the black one nothing is coming on. I have full ink level

Make sure to replace the black ink cartridge.

So my MFC-J995DW is acting up. The ink and print quality is fine. I can print e-mail from Outlook so it communicates wirelessly with the printer. However, anytime I want to print from a browser (and I've tried 3 different ones) I get "Error printing on the Brother MFC-J995DW". A solution I found was If I save the item on the browser as a PDF, I can then open the PDF file and it prints no problem. I can't figure this out. It had been printing fine for nearly a year. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've done the Clean Print Heads several times and I've even changed the 3 color cartridges and it still isn't printing correctly

Hi Brandon, please answer this. I need help with my MFC J6945DW which has exact same menu system, and I'm not able to perform head cleaning. When I select that option printer error message pops up but it in fact prints the print quality check sheet. I can perform print command wirelessly but every time I do head cleaning it says Printer Error. Print quality check sheet shows problem in all colours.

Your printer may have an error that is not allowing you to do the printhead cleaning.

I've done this several times and have to do it after every print job because black into (although a new cartridge) reverts back to sparse ink. Any suggestions?

You will need to use full ink cartridges and replace them once they get lower than half way. Annoying and costly but it will save you from having to get a new printer.

"Unable to print 48" comes up and then shuts down immediately. Must unplug and wait one minute to plug back in and it does the same thing? Suggestions?

The only thing I can think of is to leave it off for 24 hours (unpluged) and then attempt to power on again.

Then dont print out the report, just focus on the cleaning.

So I just noticed that my printer is displaying ads (valentines day atm) I think this is terrible and an invasion of privacy. How can I block this?

Thats the first time of heard of this. You may have to go into your settings and look under privacy to make some changes. Im not 100% sure though.

My printer keeps saying “turn the power off and then back on again” and my computer says it’s offline. I keep entering the wifi and the printer says it’s connected. Usually when this happens I turn it off and on again and it works but I’ve now turned it off/unplugged it 100x and nothing is changing.

Actually, this printer does not have troubles with printing. Maybe quality of print is not to specs, but print is coming out.
