Found this and used it to check mine and it is the solenoid that's gone. Pity I stripped the starter motor down first. LOL. Still, you live and learn.

Mate thank you for this, my 650 comet decided to crank over but not start. This happened just after I tensioned chain and cleaned and lubed everything down there. So I figured I had soaked something in WD. Pulled off fairing and shorted the solenoid and boom she fired. I'll order part now.. Thanks for the vid

Got hyosung gtr250 2016 its making trrrrrrrrrr sound when i try to start it........when i push it on 1nd gear it started...........what could it be a batttery fault ? cause i got it full charged

@@dockarl123 I have a 2004 hyo gt 650 comet and lately it makes a screeching and squeeling noise taking off in 1st gear but not in the rest of the gears and was wondering would it be a clutch plate related issue.

@@josipgelo186 The charging system on the hyo is the weak link on the bike as the stator and regulator on them do not produce enough voltage to deal with the headlights been on the whole time. Using low wattage led bulbs will combat that problem as the standard stator is really only designed for operation with the lights off.

I've got a similar problem on my bike. Luckily it also has kick start as back up. I 1st thought solenoid, which I changed for a new one & still have the same issue. Changed the starter motor for a new one, still the same issue. Changed cable from solenoid to starter motor still the same issue. Any ideas? It is possible they sent me another duff solenoid straight out the box. Not there fault, just faulty. I'll try shorting across it, like you did here, I suppose that would let me know if that was the case.

Hi mate, Have the same bike 2008 hyosung gt650r. Encountered a problem when I initially took the battery off to charge it, went to put the batter back on connecting the positive terminal first and as soon as I connected the negative it sparked and arced and the bike tried starting even without the key in. Done a similar test to you but using a screw driver to bypass the solenoid but main guess from that is it being the solenoid stuck so going to replace it. Just wondering if you've heard of that problem or your thoughts

I've got hyosung as well, its been sitting for nearly 2 years. I tried to start it up again but had no luck. I changed the oil, emptied the petrol and installed new battery but didn't work. Did I miss anything?

Mine clicks sometimes but wont turn my starter motor and sometime would but it sound week cranking

yes same problem with many of our previous bikes/buggies. you need a spanner on your key ring LOL.

I've just found your video (the first) and like a lot of others I'm here because I'm having issues starting my bike. My battery is fully charged but my bike barely turns over when I push the start button. When I remove the plugs I have no problem turning the motor over so I'm not sure if it is a starter problem or what? Any Help will be appreciated greatly!

what if i do the same thing as you do, touchig the two terminal on the solenoid, the bike crank just normal,bust i cudnt start. just cranking forever and ever, is that the problem came from the starter motor? i've done this and thats what happen to my bike. ninja250 2023 model.

Hello and thank you so much for your video. Thanks to it so I can start up and run my bike with a wrench. The problem for me is the following: If I disconnect the controll line that you measured 12V in. And then connect + and ground on it, the bike cranks and start up normal. Do you have any clue what my problem can be?

The switch on mine works but it just wont start and after awhile i get an F1 error code.
