Ahhh... having that break just blew my mind... I have a convection oven, so I just thought ...' pfft...it's convection so I'm good"... I couldn't understand why trays 2, 3, and 4 would get brown even after being in the oven the same amount of time! I'll try your tip!! Thank you!

Thank you for the tips on troubleshooting macarons. Made two batches of Swiss meringue macarons today, and they all turned out brown, and over baked 😢( not reaching the time limit to bake even) . I have dual electric oven, in the top level oven the heat is on the both sides, top and bottom and this is where I burned most of my macarons baking first at 293F, than turning down to 248F, still burning and dry… 😭 so I made another batch, switching to lower level oven. its bigger and the heat is only on the top. I baked second batch at 310F,the color turned out better, but macarons felt underbaked with fragile shell top. Whats your suggestion would be in my case, to do with my oven? ( oh, I found you just today while baking second batch. I don't have oven thermometer yet). should I lower temperature? Thank you! I know you might be busy, but I really hope you'd see my comment. ❤

Sorry just seeing this! I do suggest that oven thermometer before doing anything else so you get a feel for your true internal oven temp. Sounds like the bottom oven may be better to continue baking in and perhaps bake a little longer with parchment over to avoid browning at the very end
