Trout fishing, I caught my biggest trout in 10 years in the King River

I caught the biggest trout that I have caught since 2010 on a recent trout fishing trip to the King River. The trout was caught on a Strike Tiuger nymph, and I was absolutely stoked.
The King River itself is not stocked with trout, however they are stocked into Lake William Hovell and many go straight over the wall and into the river which makes it quite a sustainable fishery.

That trout was shaped like a HarBottle !!! I just went ice fishing to a trout lake here in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Minnesota that I haven't been since I was 10 years old... When my son was 5 he bought me a vintage homemade jigging stick that Ive never wanted to use until that day... (For some reason I couldn't leave home without it & I'm glad I took it with)..... Within 2 seconds of dropping a weighted minnow jig to check for depth - I had a good sized trout on !!!! I couldn't believe it,,,,, It made me emotional as I wished my son was there with me instead of living 1200 miles away but,,, it was meant to be !!!! Fish on Robbie - Fish On

Awesome video Robbie, Im super happy for you getting such a great fish! My father is a secondary school teacher so I have spent most of my life around people like your Mr Harbottle. During highschool I fished with a lot of my teachers and I still do now and then (this afternoon in fact), and I reckon they are some of the best people out there. Teachers play such a major role in our lives and if youre lucky enough to get a great one who makes you a better person you are truly blessed because not many things in life will change your outlook for the better like a great teacher can.

Frank is a legend. I actually spoke to him last Friday. I called him to make sure that it was OK to mention his old man in this video. Frank is one of the biggest legends in the region. Many people either know him, or know of him.
