Trout Fishing Using Mini Jigs (HER FIRST TIME)

Morning fishing session to Lake Jennings, California. In today's fishing adventure; I met up with a new fishing friend by the name of HonBons
This was her first time fishing for trout on plastics and so I wanted to teach her how to catch trout on a mini jig. fantastic day with lots of smiles and laughter :)
The Lake Jennings (CATCH and NO release) policy entitles anglers with 5 trout. Trout are stocked trout and are not wild and endangered.

Rodney's Fishing Adventure ehhh, I guess I’m down 😜. I’ll dm you brotha! Winter surf fishing is a grind, I’m either skunking or catching big White Sea bass (lol no joke) while targeting Hali, but my favorite surf fishing is big Corbina on 4 lb test. Bring that trout gear!!

In the UK we use mini jigs on the canals to catch all sorts. It's not very popular because it can be difficult to get the jig moving naturally but it's an interesting method.

Hey I just invested in a ultralight rod and reel set up. Also picked up some watermelon colored 1 32 oz mini jigs by Berkeley, and I also saw some 1 64 oz mini jigs that were soo tiny they look like fun to use!! Have you had success on the 1 64 oz mini jig?
