This Video makes me miss my good times in NZ when I was backpacking. NZ is just beautiful and I'm so thankful for the privelege having fished there. Nice cuts and edits tho. You guys seem to be really chill too and its great to see how you respect nature. Greets from Germany

Dude great video. I do a lot of backpacking and fly fishing out here in California. One suggestion I’d have would be to get a light weight foldable saw, really effective and way lighter then lugging in that axe. You can cut down big trees or basically whatever and you save like 3 pounds. Great video, I came across your channel a few months back and you helped motivate me to start my own.

In Germany you can go fishing for years to catch one fish like these...in the year 2000 it was much better than today.

have you and Alex ever thought of coming to Alaska and fishing for Chinook Salmon on the Kenai River. Biggest Chinook every caught in the Kenai river was 92 LB. there is Also Trout in the Kenai as well. its a "true Alaskan experience".

Oh mate yeah for sure one day we hope to do stuff like that.

Why would you deny an Aussie who wants to come over with his billy can and get a feed
@TroutHuntingNZ2 жыл бұрын
@@cyrilstevenson5833 is this a real question? i don't name any rivers. the reason for this should be obvious. If i named the river and every body come for a feed there would be no fish.
@cyrilstevenson58332 жыл бұрын
If you dont want people to come to NZ..thats fine..Name the river and i will come..Every year they put more Trout in..i dont know why you guys are so cagey. Its a Recreational Pastime that can be shared by all..Not just a select few...who think we are satisfied..with just your guys catching fish after fish with no mention of where??? I already know a few rivers flowing into Lake Taupo starting with the letter T...Its on Google Maps..no secret.
@cyrilstevenson58332 жыл бұрын
I will take an educated Guess as to where Good Trout Fishing is in NZ. Rivers Tongariro and Kuretau flowing into Lake Taupo and rivers Tuki Tuki and Ngaruroro flowing into Hawkes Bay. Thats just for the North Island
