Kingfishers, Otters, a mink and even a Goshawk. As you say, it’s often our other ‘companions’ on the river that make the day special. A few fish don’t hurt either!😊

One time I was lucky enough for a black bear to cross the stream I was fishing within view. Just happened to show up while I was sitting on a rock taking a short break so he never saw me since I was holding still, it was super awesome

I think the rod you're using is a bit light, i'd go with a #7 with the size of the trouts. Might be the cause of why you're missing some of them.

Man your rigs are so much more complex then mine lol. Where I live all I use is a 9 foot leader to a tippet ring and 8 inches of 5x. I cant imagine how much tippet I would go through with that long of leaders haha
