Well done, I have been using your method for two years and feel confident it's well taken care of. Thank you.

It’s a good idea to coat the ENTIRE wheel axle with a thin coat of white lithium as well to inhibit rust from road salt. Also VERY important to take off the black plastic spacing tubes that cover the axle under them as well. Salty water sits in them for weeks after use and once rust gets under them they a tough to remove for a bushing change.

Very good idea. Just bought a Craftsman 30" snowblower 31AH5FPH593 and will be servicing the machine myself. These videos are awesome 👌.

Hi, I have Troy Bilt storm 3090 about 9 years old. It won't throw snow far and machine stuck from time to time. It looks like the the blade doesn't turn as fast anymore. Where do I start the trouble shoot? Thank you

Easiest thing to try is replacing the drive belt. If it's still doing it, then it's probably the gears in the gear box. If that's the case, it's not worth fixing.

would you happen to know where the black ground wire pin underneath the plastic carburetor cover is connected to? thank you

About air filter
@billyb3514 жыл бұрын
Snowblowers don't have air filters. The air filters would get wet from the snow blowing around and cause the engine to die.

Hey man. Thanks for the walkthrough. I've got a problem with this exact model that you didn't address. Would love your thoughts. Mine starts with full choke but will not run at all when I turn the choke off. I use fresh premium gas, I've replaced the spark plug and adjusted the throttle screw, but it won't run. The outdoor temp is around 10-20°F where I live. I wonder if there is anything else you would suggest to check. I have never found the fuel filter if there is one. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi, that's actually a pretty common problem with the old Tecumseh motors. It's generally always a carburetor/intake problem. I have a series on a Yard Machines snowblower with the exact same engine with your exact problem. The culprits are usually one of two things (usually but not always). First, the most likely problem is that there's a carburetor problem and it needs a good cleaning. Here's a video on me rebuilding and re-tuning the exact motor that's on this particular snowblower: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmTNoJqGnrOGm5I. Second, there could be an intake leak that's causing unmetered air to get into the intake downstream of the carburetor which I had happen and show in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWSbaZyGaqpqhLM.
