The nut holding the CV joint will not come loose. I put a bar beteen the stud down to the concrete then I got my rachet with a long bar and I tried to break it loose but I bent the bar that was holding. It won't budge. I tried a heavy duty air gun and it still wont budge. I haven't put the tire back on method. I sprayed with WD40. What should I do now?

Hi, I have a shudder/vibration when accelerating - worse if turning. I replaced the Driver's side CV axles and it got better. How common do the Passenger's side Inner/intermediate/jackshaft axle fail? Or is it most likely just the passenger side CV axle? Thanks

The abs sensor actually has two tabs at the bottom, preventing removal from the knuckle. In the video one of the tabs was snapped off. How do I remove the sensor without needing to break a tab?

A good m ethod for removing axle nut (wheel off).....while brake rotor is still on, just jamb a screwdriver down into the rotors ventilation fins, and the brake caliper will be the stopper for the screw driver. Now take axle nut off.

Can’t you just use a punch or old screwdriver in the rotor fins before the caliber and rotor are removed to get the center axle nut off?

What happens when I’ve hit on it with a hammer for half an hour and tried a slide hammer and it won’t come off? Any suggestions

The best penetrating you oil you can buy is kroil. The oil that creeps. Don't hose it down, use just enough. Or try heat. Or both. Heat the hub, it might expand it. Torch .

Wow. You skipped the whole take off the caliper and reinstall. WTH.. good thing I have the basics down. It Might screw with the next person if they aren’t mechanically inclined.

You don’t have to take the caliper off to do it. The only “brake” component you need to remove is the ABS sensor. Just did this on my escape and it was a perfect tutorial.

If you don’t know how to remove a caliper you shouldn’t be doing a CV..

I don't see why you have to mushroom the axle head to hammer off. Can't you just put the nut back on to cover the threads and hit the nut? I dunno, maybe this one is different. Or maybe they are selling parts here.

Im pretty sure he said to put nut back on to hit it. You are replacing it with new one so it doesn't really matter if the threads get banned up.
