This video shows you how to install a new (intake/exhaust) camshaft position sensor in your 2008-2020 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6L. For vehicles with electronically controlled timing, a camshaft position sensor relays important information to the computer to ensure the engine is running properly. A bad sensor may relay incorrect or no information, resulting in poor running conditions and trouble codes.
NOTE:
The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components.
This repair was done on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.6L Mini Passenger Van 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
