Great video! You left out the part where he puts the retaining ring back into the knuckle.

While replacing one of the front lower ball joints on my 2007 Honda Accord, I used a ball joint separator instead of a pickle fork. As I tightened down the ball joint separator with a hand ratchet, it shot out to the side (with all that built up energy from being tightened down) and hit my gloved thumb and almost broke it. I can see now a pickle fork is much safer!

Good video, this job is also possible with only removing the lower ball joint and axle as well as the tin cup.

I love you you aligned the slots in the crenelated nut to the cotter pin hole, but the nut was installed so far in that the cotter pin didn't engage the slots.

PSA: replacing the bearing/hub isn’t needed for this install. Its new because they most likely filmed a video for the procedure to make more content. Theres no point of taking everything apart every time for each video. They recycle clips and do everything at once.

Any recommendations for getting the axle back in place with grease fittings on the ball joint? The ball joints I purchased came with grease fittings

If you don't have air tools, I don't advise any DIY to try to replace the ball joint with just a breaker bar. My lower ball joint was good but this video made me believe that it's easily replaceable but it's not. Honda lower ball joint is very tight and you need an air tool and/or Honda special adapters that you do not find in most ball joint press kits to remove the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle. I damaged my lower ball joint and bent my steering knuckle while trying to remove the lower ball joint. Now I'm stuck in the country side without a ride, trying to buy online a steering knuckle assembly for $600 but the worse is there's no steering knuckle assembly(with everything already pressed) online for 2003-2007 Honda Accord V6 3.0 L. The only option is to buy the parts separately and go press them somewhere. I can't do that. I just have to leave my car in a place where I went to enjoy the end of the year. I hope none of y'all do the same mistake. Happy New Year!

That lower ball joint look like it's the wrong size. There's a few options on ball joints when it comes to Hondas.

Anyone who owns a air chisel, likely doesn't need to watch this video. Since you used the ball joint press for the install, you really should've shown how to use it instead for the removal of the ball joint. And as 2 others have mentioned, where did the brand new hub bearing magically come from???

I am almost 100% sure that you're catching socket is not big enough. I have a socket similar size and the ball joint is too long
