I'm curious as to how much each car weighed. Because that sure is a lot of work for those two engines.

Those stone cars and the cement cars should have topped out around 263,000 lbs, as I do not believe this line is rated for the now-standard 286,000 lbs rating (on four axle cars). The flyash cars, which are the three-bay covered hoppers, were empty and so only weighed their tare weight, which should be visible on the side of the car next to "LT WT". Add "LD WT" to "LT WT" and get the maximum gross weight of the car.
