Honestly the truck camping setup worked extremely well on our trip out west and our trip out east the following year. We still use it for truck camping here and there. The one thing we learned is that, depending on how bad the bugs are where you are camping ANY little space where they might be able to get in, they will and they will make your life hell. We had two small openings where the rear glass met the tail gate that we beefed up with gorilla tape and weather stripping mid trip. Other than that, went as planned. A nice to have for the future is maybe a bit taller cap so you can sit up, but not critical.

Did a great job of keeping the dust out. Still a bit getting in but nothing compared to having zero seals there.
