Hey Mav. Great videos. I'm planning to hit the road by spring. Gotta get the truck ready. Anyway, I work in pest control, and thought I might give a little advice on your unwanted guest. If you can't get the snap traps and you have to use the glue boards, you need to anchor them. The boards that you have are designed to be in an enclosure. So here's what you can try. Find a piece of ply wood and glue the glue board down in the middle of the ply. You need to stop the glue board from moving, because that allows the rat to change its position and get off it, or just drag it. You may also try using two glue boards side by side. Remember that the glue board won't kill it, so you'll be dealing with a trapped rat...be careful. Happy hunting!

Little trick from a guy that used to work taking care some dudes car collection... green irish spring(other colors/odors don't work), if you're leaving your car sitting for some time rats will chew off your wiring which is probably why your truck is in limp mode. You can cut it into pieces, put the whole bar or wht I do ot cut it in 4 and put one bu the motor 2 in the cabin and one in the bed.

Maybe its a nest??? Toyota put a rat “deterrent”, that runs all the time, attached to the van’s wiring… And you have all kinds of goodies for rodents to feast on! Look for the electric rat deterrent… Mine has been 100% successful.

Yup, takes a few D batteries n a huge discharge gets 'em!

All food in hard containers, NO WATER left out, peanut butter is great bait for traps. He may have ruined your sensor they like to get in your heater for some reason. The sticky traps suck find regular ones. Mexico is good cheap living. You could easily find yourself a superhot chiquita there too if you wanted to.

If the rat has ate the usb-c cable he has probably ate into your wiring system and that’s why your throwing all those codes/alerts…those can be costly at times chasing down the problem…do a video on trading the truck for a new f150 and see how much they give you for yours…I hope you can get it resolved either way definitely is an unsettling feeling dealing with rats in a living space

The only absolute solution to a rat in a vehicle is Decon. There's too many places for them to hide and it's almost impossible. The decon is like seed and makes em leave to seek out water. Problem solved permanently. :)

Another vote for decon. Makes them really thirsty.

As a Pest Tech Certified Operator in the state of Georgia, use decon as a very last resort! Snap traps are the best. If a rodent eats the poison there is a very strong chance that it will die somewhere you cant get to unless you tear the truck apart.
@jamesdyas5423 жыл бұрын
@greendunn1 completely agree. We have this rat poison in England branded by rentokill. If they have access to water within the property they just die in an inaccessible space and then you end up with a fly and smell problem and your fucked. Ultrasonic deterrents are a load of bollocks the best thing is snap traps.

Damn Mav. Sorry to hear this is still happening. You should take it to the mechanic. I betcha he’d find it. If all your truck issues started around the same time, I betcha that little $h1t is chewing up those wires. Hope you find him. 😟

Nah he bit off his own tail and came back for it. I generally don't advocate for spring mouse traps, but it might be the only way. If he dies where he is hiding that will be troublesome. a Spring trap near your seat might be most effective as it will result in death, rather than getting stuck.

Probably took his tail to a rat doctor to reattach it. And he comes back looking like Rambo. With the bandanna around his head.....watch out! He's out for vengeance now.

Dude my heart feels you bro. They remodeled my apartment complex years ago.( I'm in a house now. ) The walls were wide open. I could here rats in the walls. Effin crazy and hard to sleep. I got good rat traps. Killed 7 of those bastards. Number 8 was on my stove top. I killed that one with my broom stick. Never wanted to hurt any of them. My lease was up. I moved.
