Very nice, can I find you on Overland Bound? I just had the truck bed Line-X so that I can install the Decked Draw System and I picked up a Softopper and Prinsu Rack. When you do pull the string on new tires, check out Pro-Comp A/Ts, I just picked up my second full set. Check out ACI for their Tail gate stainless steel top. It makes a great prep and cooking platform.

We are not on overland bound so I should probably check that out. You'll love the decked system. It's awesome! I'll check out those tires. I know pro comp makes good stuff and ill definitely check out the prep top too. The ripples in the bed liner tailgate are a pain to deal with. Thanks for the tips!!

It’s called a decked system. Its made to fit inside your bed and the drawers slide out.

Nice setup! Even though I am in a Grand Caravan and you all are in a truck, there are a lot of similarities as far as needs go and it's always interesting to see how other adventurers do it! * Is the Blackstone difficult to clean? Do you need a grill brick?* 👏

Thanks! Once the blackstone is seasoned, it is very easy to clean! Once we are done cooking anything, I scrape it with a putty knife style flat scraper, scoop whatever is scraped into a trash bag, wipe it down with a paper towel, and I'm done. If you clean it when it's hot, its really easy. Then once it cools down I wipe it down again. If you cooked something fatty or greasy, you don't need to apply anything else to it. If the thing is a little dry looking, coat it with a little olive oil and leave it on there. It is the best! I've never cleaned mine with a brick or brush or had to re-season it. I also never leave it uncovered or let it get wet so I've never had it rust either. Thanks for watching!!

Sounds like you're setup works like the blackstone, but with more parts to work with. Ours is the 17" and we have a dome for it too

@Catch Me Outside Yes, exactly! More parts and the upside is stove was gifted to me so I only had *to buy the griddle! You all had yours in a case it looked like. Did that come with the Blackstone as well?*

Cool video. Great information. You mentioned it but not sure, can you run that refrigerator on your truck cigarette lighter (12v) the whole time on those camping trips or just running it on the truck battery when in transit? i.e. do you power it with some other source at the campsite? Thx for sharing.

We run it off the built in 12v under the seat. It's set to always on. Some vehicles don't have always on 12v. We can run it overnight without killing the start battery but then we drive around the next day to charge. If youre going to be stationary for a while you'll need solar or another battery. The fridge does have a built in cutoff though to turn the fridge off before it zaps the battery, but then you'll lose everything in the fridge

I’ll have to look it up. Don’t remember. It was on Amazon so just look up tailgate ladders. Actually just removed it because it always got in the way of the drawers unless I move it and rarely used the ladder and instead used a step stool

Is that the Jackery 240? Curious if you run your fridge off of that and if so, what type of fridge/cooler is it?

It is the jackery 240. We haven't tried to run the fridge on it so not sure how long it will last. The fridge is an Alpicool CF45. If you put stuff on the bottom or side it will freeze, middle with be cold, and there is a chiller pocket in it. We have ran it just about 24/7 for well over a year and it hasn't failed us yet

It’s a 2012 and I bought a whole new motor for it when it had 140k miles on it. Turbo went out and sent stuff through the inter cooler and jacked everything all up. So got a new turbo too. Got about 20k miles on the new motor now and runs like a dream

Did you Line X your camper shell? How much weight can you carry on top of the shell?

Yes, it was raptor liner so similar to line-x. Had it done by a truck accessory company because the shell was bought used and was white. Not sure the max weight because this particular shell isn’t reinforced for a rack so the problem with too much weight is it would make the side walls bow out and fall off the bed rails. I just put bins up there that are pretty light so I don’t worry about it.

Don’t need a 8” bed, plus on a crew cab that extra length makes them really long. Had a 7.3 super cab with an 8ft bed. That was a good setup
