why would I purchase your product when I have to purchase something else to go along with your product like a bracket because y'all strongly recommend that when I can just get an oem part that also looks good

Anthony, these are a Ford Licensed product and available through Ford Accessories as well. The bracket is required to keep the warranty on the body of the truck intact. If you install other brands of flaps and drill into the body it will void your warranty. That is the reason we strongly recommend the brackets. Also I would challenge you to find an OEM flap that is Ford licensed, made of the same high quality materials as the Gatorbacks, that look just as good and are backed with a lifetime warranty. These are the best flaps on the market, so they are not for everyone.
