My buddies dad had the same issues with his starter. Ended up taking the shims out and the casting on the block needed a spot sanded down so the starter would sit flush on the block!

Hey with that truck being a 1997 and being switch over to a straight carb engine i was just curious when you go for an inspection are still going to be able ro pass just curious because i come from western new your and if i had it i know it will not pass inspection being switched over like that like i said just curious seeing this video for the first time my friends nice truck by the way always loved those 1990s and older models peace 😁👍

Nah, you're good. It's just a rev limiter that we set just below the stall speed of the converter.
