To me a cheap fun truck is 5k and i guess 10k with shiny paint/ body lined up nicely.but compared to these all out restomods and price of a new sporty truck it's not cheap just affordable. And the one I had was faster w a jegs 290 hp 350, bell tech suspension. Yad yadda

Ha! Two tire frier! Gotta love it. Doggone....as much as I like 9 inch Fords, these Chevy rear ends are nice to work on. Happiness is a tricked transmission....I shift-kitted a C6 behind a hopped 460 and I could not believe the difference. When I got rid of the truck after many miles it was still shifting super-crisp and the fluid was beautiful. I like 4-5-6 speeds but tricked automatics are nice. 383's never fail to satisfy.

Bought a 2.5 inch cowl induction hood for $400, and found a full set of xd rockstar 18x9 5 and a set of Michelins for $450(steal of a deal) then came the motor... we started with a 4 bolt main gm goodwrench crate motor rated for 300hp out the box and cammed it with a summit 1785 race cam, edelbrock 1604 carburetor on top of an edelbrock performer dual plain intake and a pair of mid length headers and bolted it to a 700r4 with a stall converter. Just under $10k.
