@Mike Studmuffin LOL, I and many mechanics from my time have NEVER USED gloves when working on machinery and my vehicles for over 50-60 years! I used to work with SOLVENT for cleaning, even gas and trans fluid. It just never affected myself or relatives. I tried gloves once and could not stand them, too sweaty and could not grasp small parts at all. It may be good for YOUR generation with safety issues and or policy, but I never had any of my relatives who lived well into their 90's die of cancer, well I take that back, one did but he was 88 years old AND did not want treatments. I NEVER had issues because of no gloves also. It depends strictly on the person and their heritage/ Genes. I for one, never will use gloves but then again I am from a different time than yourself, and I do not mean it as a bad thing. Take it ez, Tom in NV

@@lt4324 yeah bro you can brag about "your time" or whatever. But you can't deny how fucking unhealthy that is considering more "complex" mixtures nowadays that have to meet arbitrary modern standards, new ways of processing these chemicals with new additives making them MUCH more dangerous. Not to get into your DNA which you coulkd have resistance to this shit, some people will just look at that and get cancer, not everyone is "immune" to chemicals like you are. With your "abilities" im sure you could brag about "back in my day we handled Uranium with bare hands" YEAH SURE buddy, "back in your day" you prob snored metal shaving for fun and drank gasoline too, look how durable you are everyone should follow your dumb ass example.

They are putting a "little bit" too much grease in the bearings. So much grease will create viscous friction, increase the temperature and start decomposing. They really seem to have no clue what they are doing.
@austinlane5533
@austinlane5533 2 жыл бұрын
I feel like most of these "repairs" are only going to last a few hundred, maybe 1000 miles and they're right back in the shop getting the parts "fixed" again. People are praising these guys and they're literally packing dirty grease into tiny tolerances that hold alooot of weight in the load. No way these repairs last long.

@polarbear1034
@polarbear1034 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah at that point with that much grease you’re just going to get a churning effect and high temperatures and all that excess grease will just get pushed out of the way, I think common practice for people that don’t know is if I put as much grease as possible it will be better but really a 1/3rd packed bearing would actually run cooler and have a longer life cycle as compared to a 100 percent packed bearing

@@harrysingh23116 Hes far from an idiot... Most hubs these days use an oil bath and for good reason, lubricates better so they fail less often, the only real advantage to a grease bearing is that if you have a seal go you dont lose all your lubrication at once, but the downside of that is if you have an issue in a grease bearing it can take awhile to make itself apparent, whereas with oil you can see the problem right away and address it.
