As someone who is very good at diagnosing all sorts of problems, major hat tip to you for doing this on the side of the road with traffic wizzing by you. Haven't watched you before but I'm guessing you're not in Atlanta--that parts run could take you 3-5 hours.

I had a car that would shut off driving the highway! In my case it was a small magnet in the distributor that came lose and grounded the electrical.
