Like I have said before with all those Ford and GM brand loyal individuals. Ram has greatly improved there reliability. Yes some issues happen and with every brand that is. But over all Ram is stepping up there game. It will take a few years to remove that rep of being unreliable. But in the last 4-5 years they have only been getting better. Over 5 years ago I wouldn’t of ever dreamed of getting a Ram. Now I got one. How things change and competition is great. Enough said. Ram 1️⃣

I have been a die hard gm guy for 30 years. I needed a new truck and my wife said look at the ram. I replied that I wouldn’t own an effing Chrysler truck they are not dependable. I set out to prove my point and dag nabbit I was wrong. I now own a 2019 ram sport fully loaded and I am loving it.

It's so cool that you put on so many miles on those trucks! My family usually keeps a car for 8 - 10 years, so our cars usually end up at around 300k mi. The most we have ever done was a 2006 Camry with 400k miles, but that had a completely new engine block after 300k miles because the dealership broke the engine during a visit to the body shop, which I'm still upset about. I'll buy a RAM 1500 Bighorn to replace my 300k mile 2013 Town & Country, and your videos are a great resource to know what to expect with heavy use.

The Rams are an absolute SHIT Vehicle. You'll wipe a Cam on that thing soon enough. LOL, a video telling people what Hasn't Broken on a Ram at 100K Miles should be enough to have people running the other direction.

Yes. There is a clutch pack in the transfer case. It runs RWD until electronic sensors detect wheel spin. Then, the transfer case clutch engages and directs torque to the front wheels. Great for rain or slippery conditions when traction is available, but it can save you from a spin when you get too aggressive with throttle. There are some expensive German high performance cars that use similar technology. Mercedes, for instance, calls it 4-Matic+ (note the “+”). So much better than AWD that always directs torque to your front wheels regardless of traction conditions & causes something called “torque steer” in high power applications.

Beautiful truck. Best interior period. But you know the quarter panels will be gone in 10 years. The trans will crap out shortly. Lastly the electronics will will leave you helpless out on the road. Highway miles are not an indication of longevity.

I would LOVE to have the first 5th Gen with 1,000,000 miles. I feel like Ram should get me a trophy or something when I get there.

I have 794,000 on my 2014 1500 Ram diesel. Motor had low coolant from an EGR cooler leak that we believe caused hot spot on an all day tow to push a head gasket at only 371k. 2nd motor now at 423k with coolant issue. Truck used commercially to transport Airstreams from plant to dealerships nationwide and dealership deliveries with returns & rebuilds back to the plant.

@@vernlochtefeld1626 that’s incredible. Keep putting the miles on it and stay safe out there. Thanks for watching!
