Grate to see and hear your enthusiasm for wot you are doing i worked for a firm called Hargrave int back in the 90 i loved it like you do i would of been 25 ish asked if i could have a go at continental and never looked back Portugal France Germany Italy every where in a 360 daf and we had only one left hand drive and i had it thought i was the boy good times have fantastic memories did it for about 10 years and the firm and people's were the best good luck

As an ex owner driver, you're throwing money away running a v8. You'll get probably an extra 3 or 4 mpg from a straight 6,and wont be much slower. The v8 is good but tight in chassis, so some repairs can be super expensive. Be careful, more is not always better.
