I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice l've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.

The HELL on earth is coming for the trucking industry. Starting January, California is asking for smoke testing for trucks every 6 months. DOT is working on to don't allow anyone to cheat on logbooks. This is going to be the death for a lot of carriers, is going to force a lot of people stay out of California. So we'll have bigger rates in and out of California and way lower rates for the rest of the country where the majority of the trucking companies will move after quit hauling in and out of Cali.

@Robert-bt8cpАй бұрын
Good Morning, I have a question for you. If contract rates are $.67 more per mile many will/may ask themselves this question, are company drivers really making $6,700.00 more per month than the rest of us? Use any mileage average/benchmark you want 5k, 7k or 10k miles per month. We know company drivers are not making $3-$7k more per month than the rest of us. So when we contract market drivers are making $.67 more what does this really mean? This is why I believe rate per mile is total propaganda and a way to easily have market manipulation.
@TruckingMadeSuccessfulАй бұрын
Company drivers that work for large carriers definitely dont earn that money from what I know and have heard, but the large carriers that work contracts do earn that in my opinion. Now if we talk about company drivers (W2s), they do earn more than owner operators right now for the most part. The reason I had to downsize is because of that. My guys were easily making 12K per month, while the company was barely breaking even. Obviously its not my team members' fault that this was the reality, but ultimately I had to make the decision to downsize and go back to our original model of work without any hired drivers, at least for the time being.
@Robert-bt8cpАй бұрын
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful I appreciate the reply, I understand the premise of yours and many others situations. When I step back at look at the big picture I truly believe everyone is getting screwed here. I’ve commented several times on your channel and it’s old news I’ve been doing this since 96’, my point is many company drivers earn equivalent or less now than twenty years ago. What really bothers me is the strike last week, the dock workers proved, go home for 2 1/2 days and you’ll get what you want/need. For almost thirty years I’ve heard drivers TALK, run their mouths and bottom line is, we are weak. The Canadians go home, the Mexican truckers go home or shut down. Both groups look at us in the middle like they should, weak. If what you’re saying is accurate and mega carriers are making $.67/mi more than the companies are totally screwing their own workers, many make $80k or less. Stay safe.
@Robert-bt8cpАй бұрын
@@TruckingMadeSuccessful Here’s the other item that really pisses me off too. There’s a recent article from overdrive magazine, it says, “The average cost to run a truck is $2.27/mi.” Ok, well what many drivers do not understand is in order to meet that “need”, this isn’t based on loaded miles, you drive your truck empty as well. So we need to average $2.27 for all miles, that means and yes, deadhead matters. Deadhead will reduce your loaded mi along with other expenses by $.50 in some instances. Anyway….keep giving them hell and hopefully others will catch on to the bs…lol. Stay safe.
