The ONLY REASON why i do not reveal the name of the company(s) who force drivers to download spy apps is because no one has shown me their personal phones with the apps downloaded that proves it beyond a reasonable doubt. But that does not mean i dont believe them. This is why i still made the video.

Yes sir, they are. I’ve been dealing with it for about four years. Only been doing trucking for about three months. I’m surprised you’re doing it with truck drivers my previous job. I was a delivery driver delivering packages so but I am surprised that they’re doing it with the semi trucks and trailers having people follow you see how you drive if you stop at stop signs how do you switch lines all types of stuff if you stop at the rest, stop walking in the store with you see what you buy and make sure you’re not buying alcohol whatever maybe so yeah and, they follow you when you off the clock to two and from work

Lol, but I didn’t see any comment on here saying they have an issue with not being paid all miles their truck moves. Why is it that employees in other line of work clock in for work and begin getting paid, but drivers on duty don’t? When that vehicle stops driving should get automatic hourly pay no matter if their local or OTR. There isn’t a driver shortage, there a shortage of good companies.

100%! drivers are sometimes desperate for the job and mostly uninformed about what they are getting into and even if they are aware they dont realize saying no is an option. People are programmed to believe you must take whatever is available and comply. I do not put any work tracking apps or apps of any sort on my phone! And i will quit driving altogether before anyone puts a camera in my face. Its bad enough as is being tied to a truck 24/7 without giving up your privacy rights

Sounds like Schneider lately I'm seeing the notification of their server on my screen, they have you sign an agreement, bully you into signing it before reading, set you up on cpap at a vulnerable place in your employment, if you try to pin them down on their liability they'll defer you in an opposite direction. They'll also require you to sign off on training when you didn't actually get it. They'll also refuse drivers admittance to the office claiming they do that for their protection.

Have a cheap POS cell phone with a cheap mint mobile plan business only. Apps can turn on camera and microphone without you ever knowing it they don't need inward facing cameras they have your phone.

@@Goodfella1999 that's not exactly accurate. Contrary to that, only a few carriers are self insured. Most noticeable is Swift. Most others are not self insured and are being mandated by their insurance carriers to install driver facing cameras in order to get good rates.

Not necessarily. Hidden in the documents that we sign WITHOUT reading during orientation are usually consent forms. Drivers sign them and give the companies permission to record them as well as get access to personal items such as cell phone records and activities. That's what Wal Mart does. And if you refuse to sign the consent form during your on boarding, then they won't hire you. If you sign it, but later decide you want to withdraw your consent, they fire you. So technically, all of it is legal because drivers everywhere are consenting to this stuff

Here's what you are not telling the people. If you are driving their vehicle that they pay that they pay all insurance, permits,taxes whatever. Then in all actuality you are considered their property which makes your phone their phone😂😂. Sad but true

Not necessarily. If you lease a home or apartment, the landlord can't put cameras inside the home or put Spyware on their tenant's personal phones just because it's their house and they pay all the taxes and fees for owning the property. It would have to be in the lease agreement that the tenant agrees to in order to be legal. Most drivers give companies consent to do this during orientation when companies require them to sign documents saying they agree to be under constant surveillance through drive cams and apps.

Your underwear is your property, and they can't put a camera in your underwear because you work for them. Perhaps he presented his argument in a way which glossed over that possibility. I also agree that drivers shouldn't expect privacy while OTR. However, your personal property remains your private property, and as long as it's not in violation of company policy, it should be none of the company's business how you utilize it. Has nothing to do with an individual being selfish. But it’s more to do with its near impossible and this is FACT btw, to get an INDIVIDUAL PERSON who has their own family to support, and is thinking of them before ANYONE else, and to get them to “not put up with all this”. You must not know how trucking works as an industry. An industry with a near industry wide 100+% turnover rate. Yet you want drivers who are sending money home to the wife and kids to “not put up with all this” from DOT and brokers, and companies, etc. your crazy. 70% of Americans, meaning 70% of the 3 million truckers are living paycheck to paycheck, and you want those people who can’t afford to shut down, to do so? Logic says that won’t happen. When the entities that make the laws and deciding factors, it becomes pretty simple. You either do it, or companies whose interest is to STAY in business, WILL FIND someone WHO WILL do it. You know dash cams aren’t federally required, but the insurance companies have all come together and nearly all have made it a requirement to have them or they won’t insure you. Guess what?!? You HAVE to have insurance by law to drive a truck, so if you won’t drive with a dash cam, they know SOMEONE, out of the 3 million truck drivers in America will. I find it so funny when people say we need to come together. That ship sailed before you or I were born. Deregulation ruined all that. Get over it. Focus on what you CAN control. Not what DOT WILL require by law, what insurance companies will force you to comply with by means of removing coverage. The individual doesn’t have control when the individual isn’t the one writing the rules. FMCSA, DOT, and insurance companies are. You know who swaying their vote? Mega carriers. They have the millions of dollars you and I don’t have to ensure their way is met. The writing on the wall for each and everyone of you naysayers thinking we have a chance should’ve been when e-logs were mandated by law. That should’ve been the deciding factor for you as proof of evidence, they have the say and we don’t. Hang em up, or deal with it because they WILL ensure those are your ONLY options.
