I traveled that very highway while on vacation going home from Portland to Detroit on August 3 1987. But in the middle of the night. Crashed for a few hours in a Missoula Walmart parking lot LOL. Detoured through glacier national park. Then took US 2 all the way to the Mackinac Bridge and I-75. Thanks for the ride!

I want to compliment you on your videos. I drove for Les Schwab Tires back in the 90's and ran Missoula, Stevensville and Hamilton for better than 5 years. Your video of Spokane to Montana on I-90 brought back great memories. When I first started the run we they hadn't finished I-90 through Wallace and we had to drive down through Wallace. Two or three time a year I'd run back through Lewiston over Lolo Pass, instead of running back to Prineville on I-90. I was amazed at the kayakers on the Lochsa.(CRAZY PEOPLE!!!) It was a beautiful drive down the Lochsa and the Clearwater. In the spring of the year I'd see elk on the hillsides close to the road. I can see why the Nez Perce Tribe liked that area so much. I think they were the ones that had trails that Lewis & Clark followed that the highway follows today. Fact is, if it hadn't been for the Nez Perce, Lewis and Clark wouldn't have made it. ................................Anyway, keep them video's comin'!!!(:>)

One of my favorite drives around here is going down 12 from Lolo, MT. Hope the forest doesn't get struck with lightning like it did in 2017. That was a huge one. My sister loves the ocean, but I'll take the trees and mountains. Been here since 2005 and wouldn't leave it for anything.

Thank you so much for letting me join you. It's the most beautiful drive I have seen on KZbin. The pines lining the road were all postcard quality, as well as the stretches of river. I don't doubt that they would be even more grand with snow. I also love the stretches of just the sound of driving as much as your casual commentary. Please keep sharing.

I used to literally ride shotgun in a big rig with my ex. I got to see alot of states and some of Canada. I never got to go to the western states. I am going to have to get in my four wheeler and get to all of those states now that I have seen all of their beauty. I live in Georgia and we have beautiful places but nothing like this. Thank you for taking all of us along for the ride.

I'm from northern Ontario and it is beautiful. I've trucked all over Canada and USA for 45 years. But nothing can compare to the scenery of the west. From Northern California to Alaska is just beautiful excepting the cities. VA. WV. TN, and Ky are nice too. But not like the west.

I recognize that highway; I used to live in Kooskia, pronounced kooh-ski, (which you passed by) in the early 90s. Well, about 12 miles north of Kooskia. I used to live in a small town in Hope ID, then to Plains MT. Hope ID is where Lake Pend O'reille is. (spelling). It was beautiful and I miss it so much! Truly God's country! At the lake when I he sun would hit right, you could see gold dust! There were still old mines, Chinese and Irish cemeterys! After you went through Thompson Falls, Mt there was a spot before Plains where the Big horn sheep would come down the mountain and cover the road, not just a few, but alot! I wish you would say the names of towns when you pass signs! Watching this, I sure do want to go back for a visit, I still have friends there! Hwy 200 from Plains, MT would take you to Missoula, what a beautiful view of the Mission Mts.

I wanted to take this route when I was driving over the road. I was hauling 53 foot vans though, and I was worried the route was restricted. I posted online asking about the route, and someone told me it was 48' max trailer. So back up to Coeur d'Alene and across 90 it was, still a pretty drive.

Having wanderlust running through my veins, I have viewed many travel videos and this video has to be the best scenery riding with you. I also rate the Million Dollar Highway up there but found myself having a tad bit of anxiety going through the tight curves. This is the third time I am watching this one, and know I will be planning a drive through here one day very soon, yep, with my RV😎, but hey, if you’re not a truck driver gotta do with what we have. Thank for taking us along on one of the most beautiful drives I have seen. A P.S., kinda reminds me of Hwy 299 in Cali. But better.

we took this route twice after visiting our son in Moscow where he did his Masters program. its great all the way. Lewis and Clark route. begans in the east with the Lochsa river becomes the Clearwater river after the Selway River joins it. that Dam that you pass is the third highest dam in the USA. think he made it up but he said all the roads where they enter Idaho say welcome to Idaho. Now get out. our son said don't tell anyone about Idaho. bit selfish perhaps, or not.
