there is some minor exception to that but yes 3rd lane violations suck one of the exception is when a right lane is about to end you can get over into that 3rd land since it will become the second.. also in Sacramento you can be in the 3rd lane through about a 4-5mile section i believe right around the I-80 interchange to about hwy 99 interchange. or a couple miles past there..

No matter what state you're in you never want to park on an off ramp. If you have no option to park in a real spot an on ramp will be safer because traffic speed is slower, be safe.

I agree. I always tell drivers who ask that parking on an entrance ramp is safer because people getting on the highway are more likely to be awake and alert then those exiting the highway on off ramps.

My guess are that most of those super trucker drive exactyl the same three or four routes every day; they can practice the same reversing manouver over and over. But for us who never go to the same places; especially if you deliver to construction sites and have to take routes not made for trucks; you get to brag.

That fastrak on the 91 is really bad at peak times can be as high as $15. Some of the orange county toll roads are not to bad at around $6 or so depending where you are going. granted this for a car tho I know for trucks it's supper high.

@Significant Funk i beleave this for the max price i just check my toll roads app that has an estmateor on it and from the 91 to jamboree road it's $7.42 for a car and for 3 to 4 axles its $14.84 and 5+ axles its $29.68

I been to LA once for a week. Los Angeles traffic definitely was nowhere near as bad as I expected. I thought it would be much worse than rush hour in my hometown. Rush hour freeway traffic in Milwaukee almost seems worse than LA rush hour traffic. LA freeways are organized to flow much more efficiently and have plenty of lanes, where as Milwaukee has only 3 lanes in most of the congested areas. And if there IS more than 3 lanes, better believe they will merge back into 3 at some point.

the fuel routes are just automated computerized by cheap price and your fuel level.you obviously fill up any loves if your getting empty.the computer doesnt know going uphill in mountains when your heavy guzzling fuel

Dave never ever park on the off or on ramp shoulder or on the side of a road unless your broke down. You have to protect your CDL, if someone runs into the back of your trailer it's your fault and your driving is over.

PM drive time traffic on EB 91 in OC. You're lucky it was only 24 minutes. And as you saw, it doesn't start in Riverside, it starts before you enter the canyon in OC. (that's if there are no crashes involving 18-wheelers across all or most lanes or law enforcement activity such as a terminated pursuit with a suspect who refuses to exit the car... those two types of incidents can block the entire freeway for hours}

My company wants you to avoid a lot of tolls. I recently went on 80/90 toll in Ohio. Was not authorized and gave me the option to have $25 taken out of my check or lose a penny per mile for a month. I let them take the $25.
