With the ever increasing popularity of Hybrid 4x4's such as this Jeep and the upcoming 4 Runner and Land Cruiser, I would really like to understand how age will affect the hybrid systems. Topics like - Can you drive a Hybrid even if the hybrid system fails (i.e., the battery)? How much is a new battery in these new rigs? Does hot / cold weather affect the hybrid battery systems? I realize this topic might well be worth several videos but it sure would be interesting. I guess Old Guys like me may have no choice but to buy a hybrid at some point in the not too distant future! @TruckKing10 ай бұрын
The truth is we're always walking the line of tough testing that doesn't damage vehicles. And to be clear, it's not really because of the manufacturers (they'll stop lending us stuff if we break everything, but for the most part they are pretty understanding of the risks of what we do). The bigger issue is that when we break something it has to come out of the fleet to be fixed, meaning other journalists lose their time with it and therefore lose money. So with that fresh in my mind from the Sequoia a week earlier, I tried to be careful with the Willys.
