this has to be one of the best vlogs I've seen up to this point. It's crazy what even a relatively small channel like mine does to my weird mind. I think it's actually not that easy to keep all things fun although this is how KZbin's supposed to be I guess. It all works well as long as one doesn't think too much about it. I absolutely enjoyed listening to your story telling us what it really is like to run a big and successful channel. Thanks for sharing! By the way I'm too young to give proper advice but one thing I can tell you for sure. Getting separated is the right thing to do, especially for your kid. My parents failed to get divorced over a long time and my brother and myself had to suffer from their constant quarreling for many years as kids and teenagers. I always thought I didn't care much and it didn't affect me at all. But now since I'm getting older I slowly start to realize how my parents and their constant arguments fucked with my head rather badly. Don't do this to your kid!

Honest post Schaaf, very big of you and hard to do, truth be told. I know some friends whose parents split up and they're just as if not more messed up as friends I have whose parents stayed together. You have 2 choices in life, blame your parents, live in the past or accept they thought what they were doing at the time was good for you and move on, I chose the latter and believe me it's not easy to do. Life circumstance in the former years can really fuck you up, it's how you deal with the latter stages that counts. :-)

***** I read something like this in a magazine i get every month all the time. Not the last part though, but the rest fits in pretty well. Maybe humanity isn't "lost", as you said it, since once the magazine, or you, or alot of humans i talked to actually said that humans are becoming robots. The magazine is literally always saying that you have to take your time, slow down, enjoy the moments, dream (even at work, where it is a negative thing), because we need to hit the brakes in our "acceleration society". They actually called the generation I'm in the "Heads down" generation, because "we" are always looking at our phones, maybe even in fear that we miss something "important". Getting information quickly seems to be important, but the problem is that this information is most of the times sketchy. However, once we realized it, maybe we can do a change, as happened before alot: In Germany, the Enlightment (philosophy: no god, only what you can see and feel is right) followed after the 30 years war, (war between evangelic and catholic). After the terrifying Enlightment, the romance followed. As you can see, humans react to the eras, so you don't have to fear that we become robots, in fact, i guess we are witnesses of a changing era.

Much respect, Just do what makes you happy and what feels right! I have not talked about it too much but I have had problems with depression for a long time on and off quite badly in my early days of vlogging in fact but people probs didn't know as just being on the bike brought the real me out that's where I got my smiles. Been down the NHS and medication route didn't work what has really helped me is a change of mind set and approach to life and it sounds like you are making that change a change only you can make. I'm really sorry to hear it dude - I was in a dark place a couple of years ago when my Mrs and I split. It's the reason I started vlogging and I genuinely believe that it saved my life. My son was stuck in the middle too, and he's only 4 years old but I see him every weekend and we have lots of fun together. It's not easy fella and it's horrendous to go through but believe me it really does get better. It's cliche as fuck, but I literally just went through this and I'm always happy to talk. Chin up bud.

Another great video. Honest, open, recognizable. I've been watching you since you went off-roading with a street bike. I have no idea about motorcycles, don't have a license, and have never driven one, but you have entertained me immensely over the past year or so. Such a ton of info in this video, people indeed don't see what goes on inside the helmet. Interesting vlog Baron. It's interesting the number of vloggers that open up and say they have depression. I've been dealing with it on and off for the past 8 years. I've had the same experience as you, negative reactions etc. I also struggle with social cues etc, aspergers related stuff. It's interesting to think there may be some connection between the desire to speak anonymously on video (Vlogging) and your situation. I see a lot of vloggers in your situation. I hope things improve for you and that this video helps you feel a bit better! Talking helps, a lot. I found that recently.

Anyone who has depression and works for a company (other than their own) will have learned, by example, not to mention it at work or to any co-workers because they are likely to be fired. It is amazing to me; I just do not understand this at all. Is it just me? Just know that you are not alone. It is a dreadful illness. You don't even care if you do anything anymore. I was told, that's just the way it is - so suck it up and get on with your life. I enjoy your channel, not because I am a motorcycle owner or rider, but because your life is so very different from mine. And because you are a hoot! Do whatever makes you the happiest on here. Fair play to you for talking so openly about depression. The more people in the public domain do this, the better. It's far far more common than people realise. It's just a lot of people suffer in silence because they don't want to be seen as 'mad' or a 'psycho'. These tags are outdated and need to be ditched, and depression needs to be out in the open and talked about more.

I find your honestly extremely admirable Baron. It takes a lot to bare that part of your soul to the world. I know most people don't know who you are, so what does it matter...but it matters to you. It's never easy to speak about ones short-comings so openly, so I applaud you for having the courage to do so. Everyone's life always looks better from the outside, and I'm pretty sure thats how others have viewed yours. But nobody ever gets to see behind the curtain...so now they know that your life is probably just as difficult as theirs. And that goes for all of us vloggers...we're all just normal people after all. I don't want to make this a pity party (although I am sad that you're going through this) because in the end I'm sure the decisions you make are ultimately going to make you a happier person. I completely agree with the cancer gets sympathy thing. I have arthritis, I'm only 33 ffs. I'm loosing my job because I can't keep up physically, I can't go to the gym which was my way to relax before. I can't hold my 9 month old son for very long or walk up stairs with him. It's causing tension with my wife too. I feel I've got depression because of all this and no one seems to understand my life is falling apart. There has to be a way to give people the help they need in this kind of situation.

ray Nic thanks pal, just reading my comment from 4 years ago, it doesn’t feel like I wrote it now. This was around the time I got my motorcycle and I was hoping that I would get wiped out by a driver on their phone. Instead I was able to turn my life and my condition around. Being on two wheels took my mind off the pain and I made loads of new friends through going to popular biker spots. Today I can happily say I enjoy life again. The pain is minimal and I am able to ride a mountain bike regularly too. I hope you can find something that helps your back. My best suggestion is do things everyday that make you happy and work on exercises that strengthens your core. You need to heal your mind before your body will accept any help.

Your such a brave man BVG I admire you for all you have done since I first subscribed to your channel. I was always such a super strong woman then 2yrs ago I was diagnosed with servere depression & put on medication. I've had no support from family, friends or the doctors, like you say this disease seems to brand you a freak. However I no that the strong girl is in there somewhere & I've found reason to live by a few good books, riding my, motorbike & believe or not through being inspired by strong people who have a zest for life, the ability to carry on regardless and be themselves. Your one of those people Baron. I never miss your videos and sometimes I watch certain ones over again cos they make me laugh & smile & give me a wilful boost to get off my ass when im down. My fave one being when you laugh at your mate when he comes off his dirt bike!! If you need to go round the world to find out how wonderful, special & unique you are then do it. However without even meeting each other you've been able to make my world & life a little better, happier & worthy, so thank you :-) And you might be homeless in London but there's always a spare room & a double decker in north wales if you visit. Thanks for sharing this. It's very personal and although I have no right to know these things about you I utterly respect and appreciate your honesty about your situation. I think making and sharing this video took some real courage. The truth can be difficult but it also sets you free. You suffer from depression and that's nothing to be ashamed of, in fact I prefer friends and colleagues to tell me if they have such a condition. Many entertainers are depressives, the "crying clown" is a well known paradox. Myself and others enjoy your videos so yes, I do think of you as an entertainer and it sounds as though you therefore fit that unfortunate paradox. As for borderline Asperger's, well I think we all have that! I hope things work out well for you and for the people you care about. Stay safe out there.

Try and do your best to stay positive bro. Things could ALWAYS be worse. Take for instance, my ex. If they made a movie about what happened to me, everyone would say it was far fetched and nobody would believe it. I never knew evil existed till we ended things. So trust me, it's a GREAT thing that it's a mutual decision between you and your wife, and great that you can still talk good about her. One thing to realize is that almost EVERYBODY around our age has a "story". Try your best to keep everything as amicable as possible, for your son's sake. P.S. I suffer from chronic back pain ( herniated discs, bulging discs, pinched nerves, etc ). I hear you about depression. I can't do A LOT of the things I used to love, which causes some depression. wow. a lot to respond to in this vid.... first off.. as for the separation and your kid... my parents divorced when I was young... but it was friendly.. and things turned out. as long as the parents don't fight like children, the kid will understand. I also understand about the depression bit... I got tossed into that world a few years ago (for reasons I will not go into here) and it is really hard living with this. I have found that having goals to strive for does help tremendously. even if it is a small one, just having something to focus on helps me keep going. and for a big trip? how about the US :) come on over and rent/buy/borrow a bike and do a trip around here... I am sure that there are several vloggers here that would be happy to see you (me included in this). hell I am sure a few would even let you crash at their place if it meant you getting around to their neck of the woods. safe travels... whatever the future hold for you.. I went through this too for much the same reasons, but it was an easy split. We both wanted our son to be raised in a happy home whether that be in one home or two. We knew we were not working, and were tired of fighting it after a year. Its rough man, but we are both much better off now. We get on quite well now too. Wish you the best man! The Depression is just... There is no way to help it other than to calm down. Seriously, the only way i know to get away from the constant shit storm of life is to just sit down and say fuck the world for a while. But for me the depression never goes away. I just do things to feel better from time to time. Hang in there though, all you can do is drag yourself through it.
