The three - Marcy, Anne and Sasha - are amazing and well-written characters. But I have to agree. There have probably been many instances of Marcy wanting to share her hobbies and yet, Sasha and Anne seemed uninterested. I'm not so sure about Anne being the only person to save the world. It says "Three stars burning bright, come from beyond to expel the night. Should they fight or embrace the fall, their choice will determine all." It will likely take the combined powers of Anne, Marcy and Sasha in order to defeat the Core.

Before anyone blames any of the girls for this, when you think about it, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy were all set up for a fall, so it was nobody's fault. You can't blame Anne for handing Andrias the key to everyone's destruction on a silver platter 'like an idiot', Sasha for being too selfish to do anything about it until it was too late, nor even Marcy for being afraid of change too much she did something inexcusable. They're all prepubescent children who don't know any better, and that played in Andrias' favor. As easy as it is to vilify any of the three girls for essentially dooming their homes and the other worlds, it's none of their fault.

I respect your opinion, but, about Marcy, I don’t completely manage to accept her motivations or behaviour. In one way or another, she showed her egoism. She considered that the loss of family, normal lives and etc was a insignificant and small price compared to what, always for her, she and her friends would gain. I want to end with my last thought: Marcy didn’t care for the safety of Anne and Sasha at all. If she cared, she didn’t choose to “go to other unknown world”and eventually to sentence to die her friends throwing them in a lethal adventure

Honestly, I really how many parallels to Ghibli's Castle in the Sky there are when it comes to the potential of the calamity box getting destroyed. A flying castle that is functionally (and frankly very visually reminiscent) similar to Laputa, including its lore, that draws its power from an object that can only be utilized by select people that is ultimately destroyed to prevent it from being used as a weapon for domination. I genuinely love this because Castle in the Sky is my favorite movie of all time and I love the correlations to it and possible echoes to its story. Even I'm admittedly stretching a little with some of the connections, I still really like the base homage to it design-wise that you mentioned. Tldr: I'm a Ghibli nerd

I actually had a theory that the one factories that anne and the plantars activated was only functional because of anne still holding the full power of the blue calamity stone. We see that when frobo is created, he was loyal to the planters and anne until he became attached to Polly. We see that when andrias uses the Calamity box to activate the frobot factories, they all have red eyes and are only loyal to him as opposed to frobo's yellow eyes and his undying loyalty to Polly and the rest of the plantars.

My headcanon is that the green Toad that was once Andrias' friend was in fact Barrel, but in my headcanon, while he *was* in the Toad Army, he was mostly an engineer, an inventor, and a weaponsmith. I think he crafted the rocket propelled warhammer *for* the pink Frog, because of her Calamity powers. *(Edit)* Or maybe it awakened to Sasha because she recharged it with her "gift", so maybe any of the Calamity trio could have wielded it by recharging with their respective powers.

I'm caught between buying the color coordination of Andrias and his friends (the more likely theory) and figuring the reason that each of the girls appeared where they did in Amphibia (my own, probably crazy theory). I also assumed they were the Calamity Trio before the girls, but that the toad had the red gem, the frog the blue gem, and Andrias the green. The reason the girls appeared where they did was because each of their respective gems was seeking its previous bearer or--I like to think--their closest living descendants. Perhaps there was a mentorship period where the previous bearer instructed the new one after the gem had selected a new host? Andrias still lives, so Marcy was sent to Newtopia. With the resemblance of Sprig to Pink Frog, its likely that whichever of his parents married into the family was her descendant. And that leaves Grime as presumably the descendant of the Green Toad. Or maybe another toad like Percy, but Grime is more thematically relevant.

I’ve had a theory that the Night from the prophecy is the ancient monster the three warriors face off against in the title screen, and that it and the frog on the Calamity Box are one in the same. Long ago it created the gem stones to bestow the power of wit, heart and strength onto a worthy newt, frog, and toad respectively, who would use the power to help others, but when those powers were abused the Night turned evil and now it was up to those three possessing the power from the stones to defeat it. This original Calamity Trio managed to put the Night into a deep hibernation for thousands of years, and then locked their powers away in the Calamity Box with a prophecy that three warriors will one day come from beyond their realm to unlock those powers and use them to defeat the Night once and for all. The box fell into the hands of Andrias’s ancestors, who used its power to travel to and conquer other worlds, but when Andrias was to invade Earth the pink frog, knowing of this prophecy and Andrias’s true intentions, stole the box and took it to Earth with the hope it would wind up in the hands of the three warriors the Prophecy spoke of. What if all along Andrias and his ancestors have been trying to resurrect the Night and control it to rule over all worlds, and their conquests have been to find everything they need to bring it back to life. The Night will reawaken and, unable to control it, Andrias will need the three girls to unite and use their gem powers to defeat it once and for all. Andrias would survive but be imprisoned forever, and Olivia would become Amphibia’s new ruler with Yunan by her side. The three girls would help rebuild then return to Earth and part ways, remaining friends but following their own life paths.

This is The Best Season 2 Finale of Amphibia and Marcy did Betray her Friends and The Battle of Anne and King Andrias and seeing Anne with her Blue Powers from The Gem with Marcy getting Stabbed by Andrias and Saved only to get Possesed by The Core to become Darcy just became worse and Anne with The Planters have come to Earth so this is The Best Season 2 Finale of Amphibia so I can't wait to The Series Finale and hope that this will end with A Happy Ending!🐸⭐❤😍✌💙

Amphibia is a great show ,season one may not had a story and started a bit slow, but it wasnt boring, it was fun and charming, lots of funny moments. I didn't even know there was a story till the finale and season 2

I liked how you compared Sasha's reaction to her reflection on her new sword to Anne's reaction to her reflection on Frobo after receiving a new update on her outfit. Anne has accepted who she sees in her reflection. Her time in Amphibia changed her for the better. She's still flawed, but she's not the person she used to be. Anne is now willing to stand up for herself and others, and has a better understanding on what it means to be a real friend. Sasha on the other hand looked away from her reflection because she's ashamed of herself. Ever since the events of Toad Tower, she kept doubling down on her toxic nature because she wasn't willing to accept that her relationship with Anne will never be the same. Unfortunately, this made things worse for her. First, Percy and Braddock left her because she broke a promise she made with them. When she conquered Newtopia, Anne had enough of her and broke off their friendship. Sasha went along with the Toad's plan to conquer a kingdom she didn't actually want in a convoluted attempt to regain control of her friends, and even that didn't work. She realized that the power she thought she wanted meant nothing to her if her friends weren't with her. Sasha was forced to face the reality that maybe she is a horrible person and her obsession for control has only made things worse for herself and everyone else.

*34:44* I couldn't be happier that Amphibia not only had an Iron Giant reference (Aka. basically the entire Friend or Frobo episode), but also finished it perfectly too. It's crazy how similar the ''Frobo sacrificing himself for Polly'' and the ending of The Iron Giant are.
