I have no idea if Adrienne will see it but I appreciated reading it; I could have written it myself and it’s lovely to see my journey reflected back to me. Power to you, Roos, to both of us in fact, for showing up for ourselves and making it to the mat, even on those challenging days. namaste 🙏

I've tried to do these 30-day challenges for the past few years, but I've always stopped after just a couple of days. This year I've actually been sticking with it (!), but then I got sick and was worried that if I stopped practicing I would lose my momentum and wouldn't come back to it. However, I knew that Adriene's advice to always listen to my body was more important and knew I needed a break to rest. I trusted that I would come back to the practice when I was feeling better....And here I am! Here's to the rest of the month!

Every year these 30-day challenges literally change my life. I still can't practise in the morning without constantly thinking of my to-do list, but yoga after work is the perfect way for me to unwind and "let go of the day thus far". It's cultivated so much self-love at times when that seemed impossible, and stillness and calm at times when there was chaos inside me. Thank you Adriene!
Жыл бұрын
Today was somehow harder. I felt a little anxious bc of all the things on my to-do list and couldn’t really turn my head off. I also took a break in between to eat a little sth and asked myself whether this would be the first day left unfinished. But I returned a few minutes later bc the yoga mat and this channel still feel like a safe space. I’m glad I did. This will support me throughout my day! Sending love to everyone struggling ❤ See you tomorrow!

And two days ago I completed the whole 4.5km without taking a break in between. I never thought I could do it,but I did. All because of you, thank you. This video reinforced something very valuable to me. I tried it yesterday and ended up in a puddle of tears on the floor because I just couldn’t seem to connect to my centre. But Adriene you taught me that yoga is learning and it’s curiosity and just seeing what happens. So today I tried again and just once, in one of the halfway lifts, it clicked and there was the connection to my core. I lost it again after that, but I finished the video with no tears and I’m so proud I came back to try again, to see if I could learn something new today. Thank you Adriene!

This was the hardest day for me to date and I thank you Adriane. I give you full credit for allowing me to pull through. I had my wisdom teeth removed two days ago and I was heartbroken to hear that I would need to take it easy for the next week. I have set a goal to do 365 days of yoga in a row and I am at day 42. Yesterday's practice happened to be timed just right but I was scared to see how today was going to go. All I told myself was "do what feels good" and "listen to your body". I modified downdog for plank with calf stretches or cat/cow. I allowed myself to take breaks and tried to be true to myself. Thank you Adriane for this gift you are giving us. ❤❤❤

real talk (TRUTH, you might even say): my biggest obstacle in exercise has always been motivation, or that's what i always thought. today as i was moving through this practice i found myself realizing that my TRUE obstacle wasn't that i was lazy or incapable - it's just that i *don't love my body*. i've always had a very very negative view of my body. i don't love my body, so i don't trust it to carry me through - so i give up. in this practice i DIDN'T give up. i actually tried to connect to my core and for the first time, i was really able to use those muscles because i trusted them to support me and i believed in them. at the end of this video my mind really WAS glowing. i always thought that sort of saying was silly and figurative but i truly felt it. i'm learning to love my body and not fight against it for the first time and i'm tearing up laying on my yoga mat right now and it's so SILLYYY but thank you so much adriene. i'm sure you hear this all the time but you touch our lives with such light and love and i'm so, so grateful i committed to this practice.

Never knowing what the day will bring keeps me coming back! I wake up one day and think I can take on the world, and we do a Soften session. As a dance teacher, I talk to my students a lot about using their core to support their movement. Thank you for bringing my awareness back to my own core and internal support, as well as providing different vocabulary to try with my students to help them build a healthy mentality of their center!

Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make this series. It's been incredibly helpful to soothe my Fibromyalgia and rebalance my nerves. I wanted to give you the feedback that I always find it incredibly useful when you remind us to soften our jaw or bring our hips in or belly buttons to the back body, etc. Those reminders are so helpful, as I am always getting tight in the jaw, neck and shoulders without realising and I get so focused on "pulling off the move" that I forget the point sometimes, so this series has been an invaluable foundation to my practice. Thanks so much! Lucy from England (just finished this video so I am now eating banana porridge, sitting with my cat in front of the rain, big smile!) xx

Challenging the body in a gentle way relaxes both muscles and mind. Times goes by fast, yet slowly. Can't believe it's already day 12. That's how this felt today. Thank you.
