It's a good song, but it doesn't fit the imagery of the opening credits the way the Cohen song does. At first I wasn't sure about it, but after watching the opening several times, it grew on me.

I think it looks like the intro visuals were made with this song (the Lera Lynn one) in mind, but that someone changed the song last minute. The rythm of the intro visuals doesn't match the Cohen song, but worked very well with this one. Also, the lyrics of the Lera Lynn song go perfectly with the broken characters and pace of the show so far. Maybe it's unlikely that they make last minute changes in big productions like this... But it still LOOKS like it.

I disagree. This way too "teenage angsty". It's supposed to be dark, symbolic of the corruption in Vinci. This doesn't do that.

I personally like the actual version better no disrespect to this version it definitely fits. Maybe some of you haven't noticed but the theme song every week changes lyrics and I think it makes it a little more interesting

I am such as huge fan of this song I've listened to it on repeat many times and I think it should definitely be the opening. However I really like the opening title sequence and I think the Leonard Cohen song is a better fit for it.

This is certainly a "nice" song... but the one they are using grows on me more every time I hear it, and it suits the them perfectly... especially if you watch w/ the "closed captioning" so you can digest the lyrics better...

I much prefer this song - it has that middle America vibe that the Handsome Family song had. However I don't think it's quite right - need to tweak the timing with the images. In reality of course the video editor would edit the images to suit the song. The Cohen number reminds me a little of the Sopranos theme for some reason.
