When I was a kid I lived in a rural area. One of my neighbors had a resident owl and resident "stray" cat that lived on his property. He told me they were his favorite employees. His property was the only one that never had critter problems. The cat and owl were often seen sitting together. To this day, that memory short-circuits my brain. When I asked that neighbor why the cat seems happy when the owl digging in the cat's fur he told me "the cat must have gotten a tick or something." He told me they even played together. I wonder which one got too old first and became the other's dinner.
@indy_go_blue60485 жыл бұрын
There's a similar story in a video; maybe the same story? IIRC the cat developed feline AIDS, distemper... some fatal disease. The owl acted distraught after his pal died.

That fairy tale isn't dark, you left out the sentimental part. The girls eyes started to cry inside of the owl and so the owl pitied the little girl, flew up into the sky and looked for her mother. Finally the owl found the mother, ate her eyeballs too and so mother and daughter saw each other after a long time of searching finally again. Well, their half-digested eyeballs, but that was OK.

That is how German fairy tales do
@bass-dc91752 жыл бұрын
@@whale8436 Honestly that Fairy Tale is not too far off from real German Fairy Tales. Like: There once was a little girl. Her parrents left the house so she played with matches. Then she burned to death. The end. Or: There once was a boy who did not want to eat his soup. He starved to death. Similarly: There once was a boy who kept sucking his thumbs. So his mother cut his thumbs off. And finally: Two boys keep playing cruel pranks on people. Untill at one point a farmer is fed up with them, takes them to a mill, grinds the boys into pieces and feeds them to his ducks. Gute Nacht. [Yes: All of them are real. In order: "Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug", "Die Geschichte vom Suppen-Kaspar", "Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher" and ofcourse "Max und Moritz"]

My 13 year old son had to do a report of his favorite animal. Since he loves owls I had him watch this before he wrote his paper. Thank goodness I read over it before he turned it in because he wrote "Some owls eat mice, some eat bugs and some eat the eyes of children that get lost in the forest. Also, baby owls disguise themselves as Muppets." 😂😂😂
@shikenkanade4 жыл бұрын
I'm cackling because i'm imagining your son's teacher's face when they would have read that your son wrote that owls eats children's eyes. That and that they disguise themselves muppets. My mom had to shut me up.

@@juniorfio1196 haha I should have. I know one time he did a paper on Dodos and he put in as one of the bonus facts "In the movie Follow That Bird, a family of Dodos adopted Big Bird when The Feathered Friends (or as I like to call them, "Bird CYF") came to Sesame Street." He got an A+ on that paper 🤣
