To get a chance to maybe, just maybe see an artist who is one of the most amazing singers I've ever heard in my life, and to see moments like this. I cried, I BAWLED when he got kicked off for good, but this moment was just the best. Probably one of the best moments in TV history. I don't care what anyone says about American Idol. It's not a dead, worn out show. It's amazing. BUT CASEY SHOULD HAVE WON, DAMMIT.

The only good thing about that save is that J-Lo told him to knock of the antics. It's true. The onstage silliness with the growling and the faces started to seem more like "notice me! aren't I different!" gimmicks than artistry. I was starting to forget that he was actually a pretty good musician. Still, his "too cool for Idol school" persona was completely debunked when he started crying and freaking out like something we'd expect to see out of Lauren Alaina.

I remeber watching this episode. It sacred the crap out of me when Ryan announced that Casey got eliminated. I was even more worried that the judges weren't going to save him because in the past two seasons the people who were in this situation ended up going home. I was soooo happy that the judges saved him and the tour would go from 10 to 11. I just hope something like this doesn't happen ever again because I don't know how much more my heart can take for events like this.

This is exactly why judges being nice and positive all the time comes back to bite them in the ass. If you don't let the public know who delivered and who stunk up the joint, they're not going to know how to vote. If Simon was still there, Casey would've never been in the position that he was in last night. The judges are to blame. Because of their inability to be honest with the contestants who didn't perform up to par (IE: Thia), we almost lost Casey. Judges should be ashamed

Yeah, the others were concerned for self-interest reasons after the save was announced. They thought they made the top 10 tour, then when Casey was saved, they thought they were at risk of being cut. That explains all the relief felt at 3:47.

The judges are there to give honest critique on the performances. If they are just going to praise everything like it's the greatest thing ever, there's no point in having judges.
