Great interview! I am also a DNP student and I have the same sentiments about taking courses and being engaged when it's not what you are truly interested in. Keeping your eyes set on your end goal is a major key.

Being an African American male working in the PICU I can definitely relate! Excited to see where he ends up and if he goes the pediatric route.

Great video! I’m a Psych DNP student and I can completely relate to what he was explaining about with school. My son is currently attending school for nursing as well and I’ve been telling him the same thing, that there’s so much opportunity and specialties in nursing. It’s a wonderful career!

Could you look into Acute care NP, I'm interested and can't find much info on this route!!! Thank you for all you do!!!
@astoldbymuriel1035 жыл бұрын
Research more intensive in DNP program. Unless you're trying to be published I don't see the need to pursue the DNP. Just putting it out there for someone wanting to know some of the differences by MSN and DNP.

He should start his own KZbin channel😂 question can NP work in surgery, also are they as flexible as PA when it comes down to switching speciatist
@trevonsmith27615 жыл бұрын
eduardo santos he’s in a FNP program. Most emergency rooms want any NP’s they hire to be FNP’s because they can see the whole spectrum from birth to death unlike other NP routes.
@eduardosantos-xp3iw5 жыл бұрын
Trevon Smith so as a FNP you can specialize in a lot of things like PA’s or are they limited like doctors ondea they specialize
@marialysurena86515 жыл бұрын
eduardo santos fr I want to be a surgical NP Bc I want to be a RN nurse and just further my education. But I like the role of a surgical AP on how they are the first assist on surgery and how they can suture patients. And Idk if NPs can do that
@trevonsmith27615 жыл бұрын
eduardo santos you can specialize basically in any area where a physician will accept you as a provider on their service as an FNP. The issues start when certain areas like ICU may prefer someone in an Acute care NP program over an FNP because then FNP is tailored more towards a primary care focus, or an OBGYN office may want to hire the woman’s Health NP because she has specialized in that area and the knowledge level is deeper. But there are FNP that work in both settings 🤷🏽♂️. It’s harder to go that route but it gives you options still and you can always do a post masters certification in another specialty.

Hi Adanna! I've just stumbled upon your channel, and your PA videos are very imformative and I have a question to ask you. Can you do a research on of there are PA schools or PA careers in Cambodia? Because I can't seem to find it! Also, can I be a medical assistant so it would be easier to get accepted into PA school?

what are the opportunities out there for Adult geriatric primary care NP?
@zeitgeistx52395 жыл бұрын
Uh, FNP doing AGACNP is being phased out due to insurance reasons from what I've read.
@kyleh25245 жыл бұрын
Zeitgeist X where did you read this? Thanks
@UFCReno4 жыл бұрын
Zeitgeist X this is true they are requiring a acute care certificate be obtained within 12-24 months of employment if you chose that route, for the most part FNPS have a wide range of options though

Is the role of a surgical NP the same as a surgical PA?
@AdannaThePA5 жыл бұрын
Typically the CRNFA that I've worked with dont do clinic work or round. They just first assist in surgeries.
@UFCReno4 жыл бұрын
Marialys Urena if you want to do surgery as an FNP most places require you to also have your first assist credentials, PA on the other hand do not need extra credentials
