I think she did the right thing. If she called and cancelled on him, he would of known what was up and killed them. If she rang the police... like her mum said, it was out of her states jurisdiction which would send her into a panic, maybe they’d take her in for questioning which again... he would know something was up and would hide evidence. Many arrests are thwarted because people jump the gun and have no evidence for their claims but are so close to the assailant that they notice something’s up.

Apps_ Gumm - It’s a 30 minute show. They can’t go into great detail about everything. He went to elaborate lengths to con her. Plus this was 2002. It’s a lot easier to verify things today then it was back then. Especially if your partner works 600 miles away

I love these docuseries/dramatizations because it shows that anyone could really be not what they seem. Not saying that everyone or anyone in your life is a psychopath, just saying. I'm happy that she was able to get out of this horrible situation in her life, sadly some don't get to.

yaxi zhang what does the fact that she was 26 and he was 59 have to do with innocence? it’s actually more sick of him to marry a 26 y/o woman than the other way around. (they’re consenting adults so the age gap isn’t necessarily important but if one thinks it is, it’s more odd for the 49 y/o than the 26 y/o)
