For those of you saying she is a Gold-Digger just because he lavished her with gifts, is a pretty harsh thing to say. The guy was a Narcissist and a master manipulator. I think she did the right thing. If she called and cancelled on him, he would of known what was up and killed them. If she rang the police... like her mum said, it was out of her states jurisdiction which would send her into a panic, maybe they’d take her in for questioning which again... he would know something was up and would hide evidence. Many arrests are thwarted because people jump the gun and have no evidence for their claims but are so close to the assailant that they notice something’s up.

It is weird when women, married or in relationships with their men lavishly spending and inundating them with expensive gifts, yet they don't know the source of this wealth. These women are blinded by materialism. Often the story ends up like this, or worst still, they(the women) end up being murdered with their children. Joy escaped with her children alive because the man was incarcerated.
