I can't understand couples who share joint bank accounts. I've been married and divorced twice and I had my bank account and they had theirs. I've never had a credit card, it's not a "thing" in NZ and I I did have one nobody would be allowed near it but me. Nobody would know any of my pin numbers or passwords, absolutely nobody but me.
@em84c
@em84c 4 жыл бұрын
I knew my ex boyfriends pin number and he knew mine so we could use each other's card depending on who had money at the time. But we were poor and lived paycheck to paycheck. If I had savings I wouldn't let anyone use my card. But I agree joint bank accounts seem like a bad idea. Especially if the relationship turns bad and you want to leave.
@juanitarichards1074

@@em84c I always paid my way on dates and when married paid half the bills. Sure we took turns treating each other when one was broke, but I took cash out and gave it to them when required. I'd never let anyone use my bank cards.

Juanita Richards You're right. Money is something that triggers most marital demise these days. Handling money can be different from various couples. I am not married but maybe if in the future I'd be, we'd probably have a joint bank account where we can put a percent of our earnings and then use it for house expenses. Then we'll have our separate personal bank accounts for whatever we want. In the Philippines, it's a common practice that husband would give their wives most if not all their salaries. The wives would then budget it for everything. That works great for some, but I think that's not really the most ideal thing in terms of building a relationship as husband and wife.

I couldn't agree with you more! I think it would just cause issues having a joint account...I never would even if I was married, everyone should have their own individual account only them can access... I do get why some couples do it circumstances etc but its very risky.

Why did this happen to you? Why do people *hooze smile lights up a room seem to get murdered so often? Because you’re trusting and deep down you don’t think anyone could hurt you. This makes you lots of friends and gives you a sunny positive outlook. That’s the gamble of making yourself vulnerable. People who aren’t as trusting probably don’t find relationships or get married as easily. But they also may not get hurt as much, it’s a tradeoff. Edit: typo correction. Wait, “hooze” isn’t a word? 😜

I'm impressed by the women in all these videos willing to try to find another relationship after going through these horrors. I was never that brave, I never had any intention of getting married. And having children on my own didn't appeal to me either. I just never liked the idea of being dependent on anyone, still don't.

Apart from having the most annoying background music ever, this story (reminiscent of the Hitchcock classic, Suspicion), serves as a warning not to get carried away by a charmer, especially an over-secretive one. Luckily, this woman survived to tell the tale. As for her husband, well, those who build their lives on a lie are the saddest of all. I just can't figure how he wangled an invitation to George Bush's inaugural ball...
