I enjoyed Miriam breaking things down about life in Bangkok, she has lived there for 2 years which gives her unique insight, and if you ask someone who has spent 2 weeks in Bangkok, they don't know anything. What I don't like about Bangkok is choking on exhaust fumes when walking anywhere.

I've been there many times. People are cool in Bkk and don't freak out when they see a foreigner compared to countryside but the air quality is horrible and they destroyed so much of the cool old architecture. 3 days is my max in Bkk before my lungs start to seize up. Its like smoking a pack of cigs a day or something. As far as big cities its a great one but me I'll stay in the quiet countryside for now.... I've friends living there solely for the job as almost everyone does there unless you're born there. And uni as well if you want a top degree. Good video mate... and the nice yoga teacher from Ecuador is absolutely correct. If you learn some Thai people like you loads more. I just learned phrases I needed and went from there. Best way for me.

BRT getting so crowded . Can't board during rush Hour.. I can tell from 30 years ago they have pushed back on street vender's. Traffic getting more like Manila. Still love the place

yeah they're always moving street vendors around and making it more difficult for them because the big shops want the business but they always survive somehow :)

I have lived here about 4 or so years and just became permanent resident. Everything except road safety and pollution I like compared to a western country. If you are working legally and have decent salary, becoming PR and naturalized citizen is not super hard which is good thing in my view, but they do not take refugees and are "somewhat" strict with long term immigration which I think has good effect on the street safety compared to where I come from. I still prefer Taiwan and Japan but in terms of salary in high position and the cost of living, it is hard to beat here. The worst thing long term is the really bad traffic and again pollution, government somewhat incompetent also to address the issues but it is difficult. I can see that long term pollution and traffic will irritate me more and more, you can kind of get yourself out of the bad traffic by being smart with work arrangements and living etc, but pollution is not easy to avoid and can have bad long term health effects.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Indeed it’s a difficult issue and unfortunately not easy to solve. Thanks for watching 🙏

There are actually a lot of refugees, Thailand has been taking a lot refugees from many wars in the past, from Cambodia, Vietnam, and now Myanmar, there are like ~10 million immigrants both legal (2-3 mil) and illegals. A lot of street vendors in tourist area, beggars are form neighboring countries.
@HappyGolfCart-uz3ft2 ай бұрын
....i like to go by there for a change just to enjoy some Thai foods... unfortunately English is not so widely spoken here compared to other neighboring countries😅
@vassanab42432 ай бұрын
Because Thailand is the only country in SE Asia that never been colonized by western country, the same as Japan , so when you go to these countries, majority of local don’t speak English.

France is no. 1 visited country , Thailand is in top 10 visited country, Japan is rising star tourist country, all of them, the local don’t speak English.
