True Religion Jacket REVIEW - Worth $253?!?

Review of the True Religion Brand Jeans Trucker Jacket.
This jacket is very stylish and brings about many complements.
The back tag is one of the best features of the jacket.
Would I recommend? If you have the money to splurge, yes, but if not a Levi's Denim Jacket would do the trick.

I think you would be able to fit a hoodie under the jacket. I have done it a couple of times. I WOULDN'T really suggest ordering an extra size up because the arms run long. I think that you will be good with a size large.

Jacket runs true to size but is slim fitted to fit your body better. The jacket also has extra long sleeves that I don't mind.

There is nothing specifically made for outlet stores. Outlet store products are just clothes from the previous season . Still the same Tru religion quality .. that would be goofy as hell and not good for the brand

TR t is mass produced junk. There are a dozen companies out there offering low end models that put this one to shame. Pre distressed and faded is for chumps. Look into some raw selvedge denim jackets. You not gonna find many sales because the production is very limited (maybe Ralph Lauren...maybe). So $450 for a jacket wont ever be $200, but maybe $375. Maybe Iron Heart or The Flat Head. Sugar Cane and Mister Freedom are exceptional companies too.

These are Japanese brands, and I'm certain you have some basic awareness that Japanese denim is in its own league (Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Yves, etc., use japanese denim). I'll give an example of quality: if you look at the bottom hem of a pair of jeans, you can see a twisting/roping at the bottom that leaves a beautiful bright striping due to fading. this is the result of a special chain-stitching machine. the chain stitch tightens over time, unevenly with the denim. it pulls the fabric into that beautiful highlighting pattern. well, they do that to some of the seams in jackets too, so as you wear and wash (not too often), you get to watch your jacket evolve. You put your own "elbow creases" in, they fit exactly to your arm and nobody elses.Where your shoulders stretch the denim, you put your own distress marks on the sides and back of the jackets. Nothing 'True Religion' makes are worth over $200.00 or even $150.00. In my opinion, they make very ugly garish looking denim products that actually look to be made out of rather thin material. A relative rip off in my estimation. Also, extra long sleeves just don't cut it for me in any case. Did you say 'Made In Mexico' of USA fabric? ¡Lol! Vintage denim that retails at most for $100.00 and is usually made in the USA are most often much better and the real deal. I'd much rather buy a Wrangler blanket lined trucker jacket for cold winters, which are also 'Made In Mexico' of USA fabric for about $70.00. Ha! Ha! I may be old fashioned, but I could care less about ridiculous looking shiny looking trinkets on a jacket, but I do definitely agree with your closing statement, "It's not about what you wear, it's about how you wear it." Overall good informative presentation.
