Another educational, respectful and poignant video from yourself. Whilst I wouldn't class myself as a huge Dale Winton fan, I can't deny he was well liked by many and a huge household name. I knew vaguely his mother was an actress but was unaware of Sheree's interesting and ultimately tragic life story. Like many of your videos, I must admit to shedding a tear at the end.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment - it’s very much appreciated and thank you for watching too ❤️ I loved Sheree before I became aware of Dale to be honest - I’ve always been interested in vintage actresses and pinups - so she’d been on my radar for as long as I can remember! I found this video really emotional to make - I was so sad when Dale passed away ❤️😢

I was lucky to bump into Dale Winton twice in my life while I was out and about in various parts of London. I was in a huge queue at a cashpoint in Silvertown at 1am. Dale was chatting to total strangers in the queue, being utterly charming to everyone. It was genuine and unaffected and this was quite a rough crowd!!! Everybody loved him and went away with a hugely positive impression. I met home again in Brixton on a hot afternoon and he was in his convertible Jaguar stuck in traffic. He was chatting with pedestrians, motorists and me!! He pulled over and went into a cafe and came out with bottled water for himself and a few others stuck in traffic. A lovely genuine sweet man. I miss him. By the way, I think he had more talent than people give him credit for.

One of my cousins went to the same school as Dale. I remember being introduced to him in 1970. I had been collected from the boarding school I attended in Shropshire by my aunt who the following day took me to collect my cousin. At this point, Richard (my cousin) introduced me to Dale Winton. Many years later I bumped into Dale and upon seeing me he laughed noting that we had met in 1970!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful memory! It’s amazing how small the world can be and how certain encounters stay with us through the years. Dale Winton seems to have had a lasting impact on many people, he definitely did on me and I wasn't lucky enough to meet him! It's lovely to hear such a personal story. It's moments like these that show the kind of person he was and the connections he made. Thanks for contributing this special anecdote! xxxx

My pleasure! Thank you so much!!! I have always literally from my first view of Jayne Mansfield on a calendar when I was around 6 or 7 years old - been in love with the blonde bombshells of the 40s, 50s and 60s - it really started my interest in films etc - and I knew about Sheree for years before I discovered Dale, who I had also loved - was her son! I’d never realised! 🥰❤️

@BeautifulBadandBizarre Oh yes, She was a real beauty I have currently discovered Diane Cilento after seeing her in The Rattle of a Simple Man then of course The Wicker Man . The scene on her bed exercising whilst Harry H Corbett admires her is astonishingly hot for 1964 🥵 When I lived in East Sussex I often saw Wanda Ventham in the town of Tunbridge Wells shopping even then she still oozed sex appeal ! x

@nmfranklin66 🤣🤣 I ADORE Diane Cilento - she was married to Sean Connery - which you might already know and is mum to Jason Connery - she’s another total favourite of mine as is the film Rattle of a Simple Man - such an odd title but such an amazing film! Xx

Was nor a big Dale fan, always thought he was and was in cheesy shows, but i always thought he had a genuine love for what he did and a kindness for the people he met, i was shocked when he died and that's when i realised exactly what a lovely lovable bloke he was. I love the pictures of him and his mum when he was a kid he looks spoiled and loved and his mum looks like fun, what a shame she led such a disturbed and tragic life in the end, i hope they both rest in peace. x

Thank you so much for revealing, with love and sincerity, two people I knew very little about. I had heard of Dale, through other people talking about Supermarket sweep, and I think I recall seeing him on the National Lottery. It’s sad to see them die prematurely, and alone. Maybe they are reunited on another plain, I hope so. My mother had a great love of film stars, collected their autographs and knew a lot of them personally ( as her mother ran a tearoom where they used to go, in London) and although I don’t have the same dedication to collect autographs, I do love reading autobiographical books. I just love the insights to these fascinating people, you explain in great depth, thank you.

Another well crafted and warm tribute. Never ever knew of Dale's Mum (and I'm 65) what a stunner she was !. Wasn't an avid follower of Dale's carreer - as I don't watch daytime telly -, However, he was a lovely warm man. Thanks again and keep it up.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment - I discovered Sheree long before Dale - but when I did diviner him I instantly warmed to him. Ad I loved watching Dale on day time TV - however I’m totally out of the television loop these days - I prefer watching KZbin and old films and interviews! ❤️❤️❤️

Dale was such a warm lovely man...he had more than his share of heartache. He left this world far too early. Thank you for telling his story

I see what you mean by sad . To find his mother had committed suicide how could anyone get over that I grew up watching dale he seemed to be such a cheerful man you wouldn't have known about his sadness. Thank you shar for sharing their stories

Yes, absolutely. Some know already that others will not understand that they cannot snap out of their sadness, so they slap a smile on their faces & do their damndest to keep going.

My pleasure - thank you for watching ❤️ Same here - it was some time before I realised what he’d been through - I knew of Sheree before I really started to notice Dale - it was a while before I put 2 and 2 together!!! I used to watch him in the 90s and just thought he was so lovely and clearly happy - when you uncover what he went through - well my admiration for Dale went up beyond measure! ❤️

It was Sheree I was aware of first - I didn’t really get to know Dales work until the 1990s but from the first day I saw him on TV I thought he was wonderful and I loved that he loved all the Carry Ons - he presented some lovely shows about the cast! ❤❤❤

Absolutely fascinating. I knew nothing of Sheree Winton. A troubled soul. Must have been awful for her son. Beautifully narrated and presented.
