It's I feel isn't an unusual thing for headstones or memorials to go missing in graveyards. For instance my best friend who's been my friend since we were 5 years old had an Angel she put on the place where her mothers ashes were scattered. A few months later it vanished, someone had stolen it. I can only say to whom ever did this, shame on you for bringing such emotional pain to her, she had suffered enough. My mother died in the March, a day before my birthday and my friend Eveline's mum died 3 months later. Before her mother died she received many visitors to the house where Eveline and I would make tea and sandwiches plus plates of cake for the visitors, with her mum often calling downstairs "Linda, don't let Eveline make the tea"! Her mum brought back so many memories of the two of us as children, laughing she'd remind me that I'd tell her when I was small that she looked like Ava Gardener, which is true and my friend when we were about 17/18 looked like Catherine Zeta Jones in "The darling Buds of May". Her mother asked me on her death bed to look after my friend as she can be gullible, she's so trusting of people. I never intended to go on to deliver such detail. The difference is my mother had a sudden death at 84 years old and Eveline's mum had bowel cancer and had several months at home before she died, thanks to the McMillan nurses. Both of us are Nurses, she cares for the elderly in a care home and I'm an Anaesthetic Nurse in the operating theatre. The strange thing is the evening her mother died, I felt a strong urge to call her only to find out that her mum had died about an hour before. She asked her 3 brothers and her husband to let her spend the last night with her mum. I said I'd come and stay with her, she was glad of my company. We are more like sisters as I alos have 3 brothers, though with my ones I'm the baby. When I notice the first odur coming from her mum, I got Eveline to light a smelly candle and when she became upset, it comes over you every so often. I got her to get a hair brush to brush her mum's hair. I'd done this in the undertaker with my own mum and knew it brought comfort. So if you are someone who's removed something from a grave, please be aware of the pain your causing someone else. As one day you will be in the position of burg someone you love.

Hobson's Choice was recommended to me by a friend. Don't know why I decided to watch it other than I love movies. I do not regret watching this film in fact I'd recommend it to anyone that loves these old movies. It's a classic!!! The cast is superb, the acting is first rate. Brenda stole the show. Her and John Mills and, even Laughton, are masterful in this production. Hard not to put this film in my Top 10 best films to watch. Because it's available "free" on KZbin I watch this movie almost daily because it warms my heart and keeps me company. The hour and forty-eight minute film moves so quickly that I'm disappointed that it finishes. I fell in love with Brenda when I first viewed the movie. She is part of my family as is the rest of the cast. I don't think this was made available in the USA back in 1954, but thank goodness for KZbin so I could see it in 2024!

Joe Collins was wrong about Diana not being well endowed….dianas measurements were 38, 23, 36, Diana was a brilliant actress but her great acting talent was smothered in an image

Isn't it just fascinating how Joe Collins saw Diana Dors versus her actual measurements? Diana was such a talent, but everyone seemed fixated on her glamorous side rather than her acting ability Yet, she managed to break out of that bombshell box and deliver some real knockout performances. She had her fair share of career twists and turns. Like when Olivier offered her a role in a play, but Dennis, her husband back then, convinced her to go for variety shows because they paid better. Even though she was itching to do that play, Dennis held a lot of sway over her career choices. And then there's the role she passed on, which Rachel Roberts ended up snagging in "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning." Some might argue that was a missed opportunity. I would! Thanks for sharing your Diana Dors musings-I could chat about her for hours on end! xxxx

The trial Judge Goddard was as bent as a 9 bob note. That lying deceitful twa* Goddard literally got away with murder through his misdirection of the jury and total lust for revenge against Derek Bentley.

A truly wonderful man. Loved by my Mother & Father, as well as by me. If I see a movie featuring John Gregson coming up on the telly, I do my best to watch it, even if I've seen it before. Thoughtfully put together video as well. RIP John Gregson.

She never got the help her family should have gotten her at age 15. They KNEW of her mental illness and just referred to is as her being “Delicate.” She needed a therapist and medication. They failed her first, long before Reg was in her life. Her mother was controlling even knowing that was the worst thing she could do to her daughter. She traded one control freak for another. In the end, HER HUSBAND got the last say.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. It's so sad to think about how Frances's struggles were overlooked and misunderstood by those closest to her. She deserved proper support and care. Your perspective sheds light on the deeper issues she faced long before Reg entered her life. Thank you for sharing your insights. xxxx

Thank you for your terrific and complimentary video giving us all a snapshot of Jack's first class work as an actor, singer and dancer. He was adorable, and greatly loved by many, we shall never forget him. He brought great joy to many a child during our younger years. He made a great impression in his role as the Artful Dodger in Oliver, and his friendship and work with Mark Lester was superb. I have a number of his films, as well as Oliver, my repertoire includes The Flight of the Doves, The 14 and Melody. As a child, we used to watch HR Puff n Stuff every week, and one I have tried to encourage my younger generation to take the time to watch. Jack is greatly missed. gone too soon. A true treasure we were blessed to have in our lives.

His portrayal of the Artful Dodger was iconic, and his chemistry with Mark Lester is unforgettable. It's great to hear that you have such a collection of his films, and I completely agree-"HR Pufnstuf" was such a magical show. Jack Wild's legacy and his contributions to film and television will always be remembered. He was a true treasure, and his memory lives on through the joy he brought to all of us. Beautifully written and a warm delivery. Your visits to graves is touching and also revealing. I appreciate your work. I was brought up on Hancock and he has always been a favourite. I remember even Hancock single-45 records! I played them to death as a child (Dad used to smile at my fascination). Your narrative is so interesting: the good, the sad and the tragedy of Hancock.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your personal memories of Tony Hancock. Hancock's unique brand of humor and his memorable performances have left a lasting legacy, and it's wonderful to know that his records brought you so much joy as a child. I'm glad you found the narrative interesting. Tony Hancock's life had its highs and lows, and it's important to remember both the joy he brought to many and the challenges he faced. Your appreciation of the video means a lot, and I'm grateful for both your lovely comment and that you watch the video xxxx
