The fiancée was charged with lying to the police. Police and Sam’s family think she was in on the entire plot. They just didn’t have enough evidence to charge her with the murders.

I have told my daughters since they were teenagers to not ever tell anyone of their financial business, even if they are close friends and boyfriends.

Right?!? Um... that’s literally what the Army trains people to do, kill when needed. I can see why they thought he might have PTSD because of his time in Afghanistan but did they even do any mental background checks to see if he suffered from that? It’s pretty unfair to take into consideration that it would be a reason to murder someone just because they served our country. Well, at the end of the day, that man’s name is cleared and he can Rest In Peace. Much respect for him for being a soldier and standing on the frontlines which is something that many other people aren’t willing, or can’t do.

she wasn't focussed on here but she lied to police several times, claiming she had seen Sam alive when she knew he was killed. Police believe she was aware of Dan's crime from the start and helped plan it.
