The initial call by the older gentleman with his daughter should've been enough to dispatch the police over to help her! Why did they wait for the second call from the husband?? Apparently, that was way too late!! He already knew his wife was gone, the call he made was just a CYA (cover your ass)!! Poor beautiful lady! May her soul RIP!

@Sueloveschoc
@Sueloveschoc 4 жыл бұрын
There’s a lot of mental abuse and breakdown of the person’s self esteem before the abuser takes control. At some point. Your neighbor would’ve been made to believe that how she was behaving wasn’t right and that he was “correcting her” for her good. Which sounds logical but isn’t.

@@ronibopshop Well he had a fishing boat it definitely would hold more than 2 people. It was the small rowboat attached to that that supposedly would only carry 2. She could have stayed there they were fine. In fact the dinghy would most likely have also been fine for 3 people to ride back to shore. The reason she went back was because she was afraid her boyfriend would harm them. Plus lets say they couldn't make it back all 3 of them on the dinghy. Then they could've waited in the fishing boat for the police to come. I know what part you are talking about but I think that is just an assumption made by someone at the crime watch show or something.

I can attest to that! I got married young cause I wanted to get away from my mom & stepdad. Three months into the marriage, he broke my nose & blacked my eyes. This went on for 8 years! I was too proud to tell anyone. Even though it was obvious. This went on & every time he would apologize & swear it wouldn’t happen again! Then he would threaten to hurt me & my family if I left him. I believed him. Six years in, I got pregnant. I didn’t have any plans for kids but 2 years later, she was the reason I finally had the courage to leave. I was afraid of him hurting her. Even after the divorce he wouldn’t leave me alone! Later, I met a man from another state & he asked me to marry him & move. So I did! Even though my attorney told me that I absolutely could not do that. We eventually moved back here & he contacted me about seeing his daughter. I told him that he could pick her up from my husband & he wouldn’t do that! If he had to face another man & not see me, he refused! He never tried to see her again! Then 2 weeks before her 18th birthday, she died from a brain tumor. I let his sister know. He didn’t even attend her memorial service! He’s lower than chicken shit!

This reminds me to stress with my daughter what to do if a man who claims to care for her, ever lays a hand on her. It shouldn't take so much to arrest someone. People are gonna lie if they're guilty 99% of the time so needing a confession is shouldn't be a thing. Condoms and safe sex are taught in 7th grade yet teenage pregnancy is on the rise. Do you really think public schools are successful at teaching? In the US alone the illiteracy rate is on the rise, high school drops outs increasing. You want the schools to teach how to spot abuse. Why not just have send the kids a link to true crime daily, wouldn’t that be enough. Do you really need a curriculum in a public forum to teach kids about abusive relationships? Most kids can’t label 50 states correctly if given a blank map of the US. At what point are the parents not responsible to be parents? Abusive relationship is so vague in terminology, it could apply to just about anything. “Mom, the teacher forcing me to read chapters 11 and 12 in one night, when i was supposed to watch twilight has turned into an abusive relationship and I think i need to report her.” They are teens, you actually think they are listening to the teachers?

@@marknasia5293 🤦 dude stop. Sex education is great and people do learn from it. There is nothing you can do because of the tiktok and all the stupid trendy social media mentality. If some popular teenage kid on tiktok gets pregnant you bet your arse the mob will follow suit and you'll have teens getting pregnant just because it's cool. Abuse isn't a broad spectrum, the moment you see a child being beaten, with bruises a over the body, when they are belittled, mocked, bullied and shamed for who they are then you don't say "hmm I wonder if that classifies as abuse" you go straight to the authorities and say "THIS IS ABUSE". If my kid goes and says that I didn't let him play Minecraft and told him to do his homework and he'll call CPS , do you know what the guys on the phone will say" WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST" and hang up. There is nothing wrong in teaching kids what abuse is. Instead of shoving down their throats that they have no gender or they are gay or to accept pedos as "humans with special need"( like they do in UK) it's better to teach them self defence, how to get away from abuse, how not to get pregnant and not follow everything they see online. Not all parents are perfect, there are people that were abused and now they abuse because that's the only way they can cope with everything. There are people that are sick in the mind and don't even classify as human beings. We are all different and there are people out there that behave worst than animals. It benefits to have someone else tell you what an abusive relationship is, sometimes you don't see it yourself. I didn't see it that my parents favour my sister over me until my husband pointed it out. How she gets to do whatever she wants, she screams at my parents, insults them and has tantrums at 21. While I'm here working my arse off, getting mocked for my life choices that don't even interfere with anyone or have any negative impact on anyone, constantly told how to parent my child, gaslight into sending him away to spend time with grandma and grandpa that spend every day and night with guests or out and about during a pandemic🤷🏻‍♀️. Being cared a stuck up b when I said "don't hand my kid to people I don't know" and then have the kid handed to the whole village. I didn't see because I love them.

And if you look as statistics, countries with little or no internet, or tiktok have some of the highest teenage unwed birth rates. You really are forgetting there is an entire world besides 1s world/developed countries. Even telling me to stop, laughable. Using terms like “gaslight” seriously thanks for sharing all about your family, Schools are failing to teach children reading, writing and arithmetic, proper non-biased history and the classics. They don’t teach cursive handwriting and are completely failing students. I saw this first hand in 2001 of how teens were graduating HS, but couldn’t complete the first semester/term at a local college because they were ill prepared. Public schools are horribly unaccountable for failing, and yes, the first responsibility resides at home. If you allow the “village” to raise your child good luck with that, it doesn’t work in trailer parks or section 8 housing, history is proof enough. Why ask public schools to teach something that should have been taught by the parents? Another good reason that parents shouldn’t entrust their children to daycare, too much. Sometimes, of course baby sitting and day care is needed; however, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. If parents would stop dumping their kids off as daycare being ran with good people, (not saying they are bad people) but most people working at a daycare are not “Childhood development graduates” they normally are highschool drop outs, mothers desperate for work and this doesn’t make them bad people, just maybe not the right person to be influencing children. I left the US in 2004 when i realized that what was acceptable as far as a lack of standards was too much. In society, entertainment, religion, public education, a lack of any reinforced standards, not to mention the shell shock i had when i realized how many parents were over medicating their children on permanently mind altering substances as a chemical baby sitter. I was working in a govt job interacting with teens about to graduate, and they couldn’t do simple math, fractions, long division, etc. They couldn’t actually do basic math without a calculator. I worked daily with public schools in 3 counties going to a different school about ever other day. There were 14 schools total 1 of which was private and very expensive. The smartest teens, (because i was involved in testing them in a multi battery aptitude test) were actually the homeschooled teens. Many were under a program being supervised by a local church etc, but these were the kids of parents that couldn’t afford the super expensive private school 2K a month, and didn’t want to fail their kids with public school. 2 of the 13 public schools actually did a pretty decent job of educating the teens. They were large schools and had strict principals had a total hands on approach to trying to get that children (hound adults) to succeed or to set them up for success. The other 11 schools were a complete waste of taxpayer money, basically young teen daycare. I understand abuse, and before schools can really teach concepts like abuse, they need at least one person that has 90 post secondary education focusing on counseling concerning abuse. Abuse is such a broad and generic term it will be coopted into teaching trends. Daycare could teach abuse is wrong. Whoever you are talking about throwing tantrums at 21, “why don’t they have their own place, own job and own bills, that would do wonders to not give them time to have tantrums, especially at 21. Do you normally silence people’s opinions online?

Saint Nic abusive relationships are really complicated it’s not all black and white. It’s not just physically abuse but also mental abuse. They make you feel worthless and like you have no one. You loose yourself and they make you feel like you deserve to be treated that way, or that it’s normal. It’s really hard to get out of those type of relationships. You can’t force someone out of it, they have to want to leave and have to make the choice themselves. I know it’s hard to understand and doesn’t make since but that’s just the way it is.

We need to define abusive. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. If he is controlling, jealous of everyone you know even family. If he throws a fit, screaming, yelling, gaslighting you when he doesn't get his way. Say good bye AFTER you are safe and far away from him. It gets worse, and it can and will last a lifetime.

Children are often VERY triggering, even just their existence, their innocence, anger and definitely happiness. And a good father-figure in the Good Samaritan Could literally throw her back in the water as shame-facing is OFTEN “worse than death”. I have run away FASTER from the sweetest people in the world than I have the toxic that are dependent w/ & on me. It’s a shit show. It’s what helps people throw themselves off buildings. He must feel really bad. It's a shame that people's poor choices in life can visit their misery on others. Every life has value to someone even for those that don't value their own. It's sad.

Chris Richardson this girl jumped into the sailboat dingy which was probably float a few feet behind his sailboat. He doesn’t know what’s going on & it’s dark outside with his handicap daughter onboard. He did what he could for her. Honestly he did more & offered more than most would in his shoes. He offered her refuge until someone could get there at risk to himself & his daughter. What was he supposed to do? She jumped back into the other boat & they floated away in a matter of a minute. I think the guy in the sailboat was a hero that night & had he not called 911, there wouldn’t be a record of the ongoing drama between the 2 people. It’s not like he could just step in between dude beating her ass.... HE WAS ON SAILBOAT! I can promise you that if I didn’t know these people & I got girl telling me the boyfriend would hurt my child, that would be the extent of the help she would get from me as well. She was offered help & chose to go back & only she knows why. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I never ever want anyone to describe me as someone who lights up a room because the next sentence seems to be "she was last seen....". Scary times.

One time me and my parents were out on our boat drinking at an island and the boat kept stalling and the way home and me and my mom got in to it and i jumped off and swam to shore and walked 4 hours home but was still about a mile away when my mom pulled up in her car to pick me up (i jumped off near a bar about 5 miles from home, i thought itd be an hour walk tops) So the boat stopping and going made it take them forever to get home to our creek so when they finally did, she hopped in her car and found me and she was freaking out because i was 18, drunk, walking home in the dark in only a bikini.. it was a dumb move ill admit, but it was just a heat of the moment thing and i was too stubborn to go back. Lord thank you for letting me make it back safely. ❤
