The thing that always amazes me about a song like this, is it's not impossible to play if you practice for a while, but I could never in a million years picture what it's like to be the guy that writes this tune

Can confirm; I'm a total beginner, got my guitar just less than 6 week ago, but practicing this almost everyday I have all of it down except the 'Bridge' part now down to a reasonable degree. Boy did it jack my fingers up though.

Throughout the last decade of being a guitarist, This song has stood as a “eventually ill be good enough to learn this” and thanks to your equally gifted ability to teach , im finally getting the hang of your incredible composition. Thanks for all you do man.

I didn’t play my guitar for several months after first watching the original video posted to KZbin of this song as I felt that it would be disrespectful to you somehow as ridiculous as that sounds. I have been playing since I was 14 and I am now 41. Now that you have been so gracious by taking the time to breakdown this masterpiece, I feel that I can finally resume playing again without feeling the shame of knowing that you are out there still making this incredible music that in my humble opinion is revolutionary. Thank you so much for your contribution to broadening my perspective of what this instrument can become in the hands of a master. Thank you for this beautiful work of art.

Ive been playing the guitar for years and years and am trying to learn this. Talk about being a beginner again. I`m sure Andy`s got more than two hands. Totally brilliant

I suprisingly haven't found it overly challenging so far. I just started learning it today and managed to get through the verse & the chorus (didn't even bother with the intro for now lol). Not up to speed of course, but all the notes and percussive techniques are there. Just need to refine and move on. Can you play it now?

Thank you so much for making this incredible tutorial. I LOVE your music, and percussive tap style is something I have wanted to play for a while but haven't found a song and tutorial that really facilitate it (I only play with five strings). With your help, I'm starting this new chapter in my guitar journey, and it's so rejuvenating! Thanks again 😊
