Well, to be fair there's a good reason why Nincada has the Ground typing. It's based on a cicada nymph, which live underground for many years until they eventually emerge and become fully-fledged adult cicadas.

The ghost type doesn't just mean 'creepy'. Decidueye is based on an extinct animal, which makes it Ghost for a similar reason to Dragapult. There are also Polynesian myths that indicate to the ghost type. Just read the Origin section on Bulbapedia.

- I WANNA BE HONEST: This video is the first, in a long time, that I'm not very proud of. It's still an entertaining video, in my opinion, but definitely doesn't showcase what I've come to love about my channel over the last 2 years. I hope you find my other videos to your liking :) - I am aware I forgot about how Alolan Muk doesn't stink (it's not in its Pokedex entry for some reason) but honestly that helps my case soooooooooooo :) - I know the most common interpretation of Wormadam's trash cloak is fiberglass but that would usually translate to the rock type (like Nihilego) and wouldn't really be a form of trash, but I did not consider the fact that fiberglass is stronger than many metals by weight. (My conclusion in the video was that pink insulation isn't ever made of metal, since metal rusts and is terrible at insulating... and therefore I didn't mention it.) But Fiberglass being stronger than steel may be the answer.

Im probably 11 months late but, Wormdams pink coloring is based on fiber glass. The kind used for insulation in buildings. It is a very durable material and thus fits the steel type well.

Fiber glass is durable as it easily withstands wear, pressure, and is actually pretty hard to damage. Fiberglass insulation is made up of the individual fibers woven together, you're not tearing the fibers, you're separating them.

Personally for fighting I would have gone Chesnaught, a very unrememberable pokemon that does not really have much in way that shouting fighting, at least to me that is. Lore wise everything is ether it has a good tackle or can withstand stuff well which eh as well as its general design just does not shout shouting at all.

For Wormadam, I believe it's supposed to be covered in pink fiberglass, which is commonly used for house insulation. You could somewhat relate them to steel, because house building and all, but the fiberglass itself isn't steel, so I still don't really know why it has the steel type. Maybe it's supposed to be steel wool, but I've never seen it pink so…

Delcatty is definitely not the worst normal type. It is a beautiful Pokémon with a great design, color scheme, and amazing movepool, and embodies the concept of the cat’s relaxed nature. It is one of my favorite Pokémon as well. It just shouldn’t be the worst. Like, maybe Slakoth or Dunsparce. I know this is just your opinion, but still.

From what I know metal is a poor insulator and is never used as building insulation. Pink insulation IS indeed fiberglass (and or wool) but that would translate to the rock type and why would it be called "TRASH"? But yes, pink insulation is usually the explanation for Wormadam.

In the early days of pearl when the internet hadn’t quite caught up, I literally could not find the last two mystery pokemon. It wasn’t for months before someone finally found and told me that there was an obscure fish in the very top north-west corner, and it was finneon and lumineon. To me Basculins are pretty memorable evn though I never used them in my playthroughts. And as such I dont think they should be tied to Finneon (I didnt even remember they existed) But it has two different variations, red basculins attack head on even if they get hurt in the progress (reckless ablility) while blue ones are more passive agressive (rock head ability) The two different basculins are also at constant war against each others With rock types I mightve picked one of the fossil pokemons (maybe Lileep) Like yeah, Probopass would make more sense as pure steel type but it kinda looks like a rock and the I tend to link being magnetic/metallic to magnetic ores, which are mostly stone
